Hey! Great video! Thanks! Wanted to know the details about palm oil and the effects as I didn’t have a clue, really informative and love your style, got a new sub from me and I’ll be catching up on any other vlogs you’ve done! You remind me of lily Allen 👌🏻❤️x
because other wise a company will continue selling both products and just market the unsustainable crap to people who do not care. And yes a lot of people do not have the sophistication to care.
@@christopherderrah3294 Yes exactly, petitions help this. Boycotting all corporations is really difficult though and yes lots of people don't have the time or money to do this.
Lol! I'm American and totally missed at first that Iceland is a supermarket. I thought you were talking about the country and was so confused. I'm glad the company is taking a public stance. Hopefully should bring a lot more general awareness to the issue.
Welcome back, Jess. As always I look forward to hearing more from you and Frances. Most of what you said is news to me. I will follow it with interest.
Good video. Agreed, we need to start a conversation. We need to have more corporations that engage in social consciousness with the well being for all. Above all, we need to help these animals, and our forests.
Bet the companies who use palm oil in their products stocked by Iceland did not like the ad !!!! bet some pressure was applied by them to have it pulled !!!!
Is it bad that all I care about is the animals? Like who cares people are making money from palm oil, orangutans are dying. Also, it makes me feel so sad that some people had never heard of palm oil before watching the advert.
It's not bad we all should care! You're right but it's good that it went viral! It spread awareness really fast and we need to keep going with the pressure on the big companies. :)

Thanks so much Martin! :)
More effective than looking for sustainable labels is boycotting corporations that traffic unsustainable palm oil.

Haha yes I realised afterwards I should have been more clear on that sorry! It really has made a huge difference! :)

Thanks Stan! It's something that really needs to be talked about more! If you're interested in more info I've put some links in the description :)
Awesome video! Why was the Iceland advert banned though? Thank you!
Thanks so much! On the grounds that it was 'political' as it was made by Greenpeace.
Naturally Nomadic Ah I see, thanks!
I just checked my cupboards, and while most products contained some oil, only 3 out of 10 contained palm oil. 🤔

Yes you're totally right Juliana. Thank you :)
That 'orang-utan' pronunciation is funny. :)
607 Really? How do you say it? 😛
@@NaturallyNomadic In Dutch, the stress is on the first and third syllable, not on the second and last. :)

I hope so! They have 'no palm oil' stickers on their own brand products now so the other products will definitely stand out!
Great video Jess! 👍🏼
Thanks so much!
Great. Well done.

@@NaturallyNomadic I agree! It's great that Iceland has stopped using it and I hope others follow.
Oops, sorry, I meant Francis.
hahah!
Someone can text me allo the word in this film please
Everyone don't use Palm oil please
Unfortunately it's not as simple as boycotting palm oil. It's also hidden in so many products it's near enough impossible to do.
Replace it with what?
@@NaturallyNomadic people need to think a way of making food without Palm oill I tru my best not to buy if it have Palm oill in it like cooking
