The heck with Francis...LOL. Enjoyed the vid...you should consider the distribution angle! Get with a manufacturer & create your own line of products...The bamboo items are great products...I would purchase these for gifts & personal use!
Thank you. I have heard that bamboo deforestation is quite bad in certain areas so I tend not to buy it although it is of course better than plastic. My solution is to use the stainless steal cutlery that I already have at home except the knife as I would not be allowed it at the airport
Stainless steel are good too! Bamboo is actually a grass and grows really fast so it's way more sustainable than other types of wood and definitely plastic! It's easy to replant and can grow back within a few months rather than years! So I wouldn't necessarily worry too much :)
This is nice. Some items may be a bit tricky to travel around with especially if you're going to Australia. Australia is just too paranoid with anything made of plant, wood, or animal products like bees wax.
Yaaay ! loved the video. Being a long-term traveller, I have recently decided to make the shift to eco-friendly/reponsible travel and your channel is a great source of info :)
Agree with what a lot of others are saying. Really good first video. Not something I’d normally watch, but you kept my interest throughout. I like the style you and your partner produce. Enjoy your travels.
You are very talented! I love your videostyle and your personality really sparks and feels 'natural'. So you truly are Naturally Nomadic ;) I just subscribed to your channel! GOOD LUCK on UA-cam! And have fun! X
Thank you so much for your wonderful reply Maike! I have just started uploading again after too long away! So I hope to make many more helpful videos! :)
Francis gave a link to your channel. *Bravo, your first Vblog -i love it!!!* and that no beez wax-lol. On the reusable water bottle -i love my klean kanteen-brand, s/s wide mouth, double wall. I use it for water/coffee & tea(bag). Glad you're doing your best in reducing your plaztic footprint.
Welcome to UA-cam. Your off to a great start at 125 subscribers for your first video. Nice! Must admit I'm not a 'Eco-Friendly' person....just stopped by from other channel to show a little support. Good luck and nice job on the video!!
Great video Jess well done I'm following Francis UA-cam channel and now yours keeps up the good work guys.. Enjoy your travels looking forward to seeing your new videos.. 👍
Nicely done Jessie! I come from your partner's channel to take a look and was immediately impressed. Your channel has high quality and nicely shot video content. Great job girl! I immediately subscribed and I wish you good luck! DB
Hello, brilliant video thank you. Just wondering if you can take the cutlery in your hand luggage if you fly. I have a pouch like yours that I made but my cutlery is steel so I have to leave it behind. Is bamboo ok For travel?
Bamboo is fine for travel. Get some sporks maybe as well just in case. But I have travelled with a small metal set of cutlery and the knife has been pulled out a few times but never taken off me. General rules are it has to be under 6cm blade for you to take it in hand luggage. Good luck!
The music is a little too loud. Every time I turn the volume up to hear you I then get blasted by the music. Other than that, great video! I'd love to see non-purchased zero waste tips.
Terrific blog ! You are a natural ! I hope you continue to do well in this project good luck with your travels too ! Ask your buddie to take a look at my videos on my channel, cheers
I love bars of soap and a few days ago got myself a little bar of shampoo. I got another bar of soap and a tin for the said soap and one for the shampoo, then later found my first bar of soap! Oh well they still last for ... ever so that's all right. It's hard to believe that a little round bar of shampoo is meant to last over 700 washes. Maybe it will though since I don't exactly wash my hair every day and have pretty short hair. I also love my bamboo toothbrush. I also got this really big 1 litre stainless-steel flask for hot or cold drinks among other things. I posted somewhere on my blog about the things I do or would like to do in terms of low-waste things (you'll have to look for the post though). If you want to take a look, feel free to visit harmonystravels.blogspot.com/

Also, I have been bring a stainless steel cutlery set in hand luggage with me on multiple flights. As long as the blade is under 6cm they allow it. :)
This is nice. Some items may be a bit tricky to travel around with especially if you're going to Australia. Australia is just too paranoid with anything made of plant, wood, or animal products like bees wax.
Thanks, that's such a good point I never thought of that... will look into it!
