Thank you so much. I've watched a number of these and yours was the only one that was logical, simple and effective!
I appreciate this video
a few months ago my electric type jack russel terrier used the wrath of thor to destroy the inner-electrical working of our family clock
...tisk tisk tisk, silly puppy
any hoo,
it was electrified beyond repair, only the body of the clock with the numbers remained in tact
I went to my local item shop for spare parts, the journey was danger filled, but none the less worth it
I traded 18 doubloons and 2 scrolls for the new clock parts, that being a minute, hour and second hand
as I returned to my humble abode, I fixed the clock with my new parts
a thousand thanks to the creator/s of this video
until we meet again
kind regards
Onion Knight
Thank you! Got it together. It was an old one and I needed to see how to do the hands and the washer and nut!
Hello there. Thanks for a straight forward instruction video. Keep safe you and yours.
Kevin, thank you for getting to the point. You explained just what I needed explained. These others guys with clocks like to ear themselves talk. I subscribed to your channel.
Thank you!
Exactly ❤
Thank you , with your help it was so easy I’d been putting it off so long 🙄😂 it took me longer to hang it up on the wall! 😊
🤣🤣🤣
bought this clock movement after watching this video from their website it came in 2 days the build quality is brilliant easy to put together looks nice on my new clock thanks for the video
Thanks for your kind words and we're pleased it resulted in a nice clock for you!
It's easy when you know how! Thanks. It was so reassuring to hear an English accent for the demo too. Very good thanks.
Brilliant ❤ exactly what I needed to know, without half an hour of waffling! x
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Some years ago I bought some clock movements. Now I'm finally so far that i made my first clock. I took one movement out of the package, but the manual with it was very short. Only some hazy pictures or drawings. Your video gives me the courage to give it a try tomorrow. Assembly of all types of movements seems to be more or less the same. Every (first-hand = new) has a second hand mounted as the third (last) hand, I guess.
Well done! Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video. It's just what I was looking for.
This made it so much easier thank you because we order a custom clock with my last name on it and I could not understand why the hands weren’t working
Well detailed video, thanks a lot for this explanation, I did mine and it came out soo well, tick tock, tick tock ⏰ 😊
Thanks for this - well explained.
Thank you! You saved My life!
Thank you for the brilliant tutorial. Really very very useful. It helped me out a lot.

Nice and easy thanks

Thankyou very much!!
angan2k1 i
Thanks
Best video ✌️
I was searching exactly this.
In my kit there's no screws and washer or rubber washer. Only a machine and three hands. What should I do? Will they work?
Hi Munazah, as long as there is a nut to screw onto the thread it can be tightened to your clock face. If you are missing this then it would be best to contact the company that you bought it from and check if there are any parts missing.
You did not say what size the center hole had to be. for those of us making our own clock blanks (rather than buying them) we need to know what size hole to cut in the center.
Exactly.... I made one with a cake base and don't know how to attach the machine behind
THANKS
Oh ur accent is very calming lol
The plastic bit for the hour hand on mine pops out so the hour hand falls and isn't tight. I bought my from ebay so i might buy some from you!
You'll have a better experience with ours!
Could i convert this 12 hour quartz clock to 24 hour clock?
By making the hand gear twice the original??
I would be tempted to produce a more simple solution. Have two circular rings of numbers around the clockface. The outer ring would be the numbers 1 - 12, as normal, and the inner ring for 13 - 24. Maybe have them in different colours or the 1 - 12 larger than the 13 - 24.
Much easier than trying to hack the movement.
Hi. I went to ur store looking for clock numbers and all I could find was 20 mm..do u have 25 to 30 mm?...could u put a link in to that if you do..and it's says 98 cents for the hands n motot
Hi, this is the only clock movement we sell.
If I bought a mechanism, the boxey part, can I install any hands onto the mechanism if they're from the same brand. I was just wondering as I ordered a mechanism with hands thats are two long. Should they fit on just the same?
We do sell alternative shorter hands that fit. These are product 2814 on our website.
I want to do this on a wall with hands of my design and manufacture. This would be no clock face and long (30cm) hands. would your device work with the mechanism attached to the wall?
Hi Timothy, The mechanism has been designed for use with the hands it is supplied with which are quite light, it is possible it would work ok if the weight of your DIY hands were not too heavy. The only way to know is to experiment with your design until you find a scenario that works as you want it to.
hello, is this particular kit manufactured in the UK?
Hi Zac, this particular kit is Manufactured in China.
I think I can handle that. Thanks
Will it still work if you don’t have the rubber piece? Mine doesn’t have one for some reason.
The rubber piece helps to maintain a lock against the clock face and to prevent any slipping or movement. You may experience no issues but I would say a rubber washer of some kind would prove to be beneficial. Was your mechanism supplied by us?
Kitronik thank you. I’m not certain where it was supplied from because it was a set given by my school’s wood shop class.
really! What size is the hex nut? thread and pitch is it 7mm x .75 pitch
What is the thread size on the threaded stud? I need this to add another nut on the threaded stud.
The internal diameter of the nut is approximately 7.25mm, the distance between each thread pinch on the spindle is approximately 0.45mm.
what do you call the mechanism that continous
From where you buy this analog
What's the cost of the clock mechanism without the face

kitronik.co.uk/products/short-spindle-quart-clock-mechanism
What Shaft length shall I get if my the thickness of my clock face is "7mm"?
and The inner depth is 5cm from the clock face to the glass
clock face 7mm, maybe you can choose 20mm shaft length
Why does my hour hand not stay tight and just flips down to 6? What am I doing wrong?

I am having the same trouble but I bought the clock from a wood working company.
@@dlwsport250 Hi, did you try contacting them to arrange a replacement?
@@kitronik Thank you!! I followed your video one more time and though I bent the "hands" , I eventually got it working. The "key" was when you added the second and and it began to sweep I realized that I needed to apply more pressure. I am in the US and the maker is in Turkey. I am sure he would have replaced. A little "effort" was required and I was too nervous to break anything, It is working. Now I just have to have the courage to hang it up. Cheers, from Asheville, NC
i ended up with breaking my clock
Oh no, how?
Auf deutsch wäre auch nicht schlecht.
Hallo. Sie können die UA-cam-Untertitel festlegen, um das Video ins Deutsche zu übersetzen. Ich hoffe, es hilft.
