I’d only had large dogs before getting these two and none of the larger dogs did it. The new puppies are adorable! ❤️
😆😆😆 that’s hilarious. Usually when dogs poop they just want privacy. They don’t want anyone looking at them or interrupting their process. Could be they stare at you to make sure you’re not coming over to bother them. But, more likely since you said they’re strongly bonded to you, they’re staring at you to make sure you don’t leave while they’re doing their business. Maybe they want to hurry and finish so they can run back over to mommy ASAP. In either case, it’s certainly an entertaining story. 😂
Hi Kelly. I was wondering to u have tricks to socialize a chihuahua to other dogs. My little baby doesnt really bark at dog but she is terrified when they come close or bark at her. Then she start becoming snappy and growl. I dont mind if she isnt friendly with other dog. But I dont want her to bite dogs or peoples
Hey there, sounds like she would benefit from weekly play sessions.with other fur friends. But I would start with just one fur friend. If you can find a low energy, calm dog .... best if they’re also small so as not to look intimidating to your little girl. If you can find a dog that matches this description, I recommend you start with an outdoor play date. Bring toys and her favorite treats to help her understand this is a GOOD thing. At first she may not want anything to do with the other dog but if you have these play dates weekly and shower her with lots of love, praise, fun, and treats during these sessions, she will eventually start to enjoy them. If she snaps or growls at another dog, look her straight in the eye and say firmly “no bite”. Then redirect her to something positive. Let her watch you petting the other dog and giving him treats. She will likely come right up to the other dog when you’re giving HIM attention and treats. If she does come up, give HER praise and treats, and then both dogs together at the same time. Keep it up, be consistent until she stops hating it. Eventually have the second dog bring another friend and do the whole process again. Each time she meets a new dog, it should take less time for her to feel comfortable. It just takes consistency. You’ve got this 👍🏻❤️
I know I always have a ton of questions but my little sweetie pie is only five months old and when I give her floor time or bad time she is wild and when she’s around other dogs she is very playful but she has a pitch of a bark and kind of bites at other dogs not meaning to be aggressive just playful but it scares me that the other dogs may get hurt By her bite because it’s like a pinch. And when I tell her no she Chyna barks at me and gets even more playful but if I say you hurt me she starts licking me. Do you have any suggestions to train her to not do this she is very loving and loves everybody thank you so much for your videos they are so helpful
So I’m getting a puppy next year and I have 2 cats and 2 dogs, I have an Australian shepard that I’m worried about being around my puppy, she was abused in her previous home and is very skittish, I’m worried she may get frustrated with the puppy and end up hurting it. My male cat has a big attitude problem and pees when’s he’s mad, I want to keep them away from each other to prevent that, but I know that’s not good for them. Do you have any advice for me? Great question. She should be safe on a leash with you right next to her but Coyotes can be really fast sometimes so keep a vigilant eye on your surroundings and don’t let your sweetie pie’s leash stretch too far away from you. Maybe bring the labrador on the walk as well to discourage coyote’s from their bravery. Best of luck to you and your sweetie pie

I understand the fear of germs but you do not want to teach you chi to be fearful of strangers. They need to be socialised with lots of different people and dogs to ensure a healthy happy adulthood free from behavioural problems. Perhaps give her treats and praise when people come over but still keep her at a distance for your phobia? puppy school is fantastic for them but you might have to work something out :)
@@valkyriedarquese maybe, I HATED when my mom would take one of the animals to c dad at the nursing, she would not keep anyone from petting them and I would obsessively wash them as soon as they came in the door... who knows what those old people had touched or how well they wash their hands YUCK !!!
@@parrotlove30 You shouldn't wash a dog too often, it can cause skin conditions. They only need one bath per month unless they get really dirty. Perhaps you should see a soctor for your germaphobia or consider not getting a dog because your condition might interfere with their ability to live a health life. It's hard but your condition sounds like it will negatively affect a dog.
@@valkyriedarquese u just assumed my mum took them to the nursing home more than once a month each, she don't. Dog went once each month and cat went 2 weeks after him. Doing two animals at once multiple times a month is just way too much work and trouble for heaven sake! And for your info i have lived with dogs, cats, hamsters, and parrots just fine for 29 of my 34 years with no problem. Plus dad went to heaven 3 yrs ago so that's not an issue anymore. Its just that you never know if someone has sneezed in there hand and not washed it or went to the bathroom and didn't wash their hands good enough, and then they want to pet MY baby? When i kiss on my sweetie, snuggle with it and share my bed with it? I don't think so! There are 3 different times where i wash my hands 3 times in 1 go just to be extra clean and I listed 1 of them a few sentences ago. And my hands are not dry at all cause i lotion up a lot.
@@parrotlove30 I'm sorry if I came across as accusing or assuming! It just sounds like your germaphobia is quite strong and you may need to consider whether it will negatively impact a pet or not. You clearly care about your animals, I hope you can work out a way to ensure you pup gets the socialisation they need while also avoiding germs as much as possible :)

Would prefer to just keep the sweetie away from guests entirely tho as i do not want anyone but mom, myself, and the vet touching her. Im a bit of a germaphobe and don't want to have to clean the dog every time there's company...
