station eleven has such strange elements (cults, theater, and comic books) but it intertwines with one another so well that it just works. honestly such an amazing short series with a surprising amount of tension and tenderness that I think more people should watch. for me, it showed what constitutes a family, especially after a devastating event where you must find safety in scarce places. i really recommend watching it if you can!!

idk man, the show is extremely dull and the storytelling is like from a youth book, i think Noel's small IQ was well manipulated here. And I'm saying that as a person who really liked some of the actors in other things, and Fallout is one of my favourite games, so...... hard to f this up for me, and they managed.
There's the video of the series big emotional payoff in the last episode uploaded here that spoils the entire thing in the title. So anyone searching "station eleven" videos or trailers could easily have that pop up for them.

Super underrated show on HBO is I may destroy you. Based off of Michaela Coel’s assault but such a raw and honest portrayal while still managing to have some genuine heart & laughter. Incredible series.

Tyler never armed the kids with weapons or had them go to war. When he was stabbed by Kirsten, the little girl you see at the very end took over the cult. Having been raised on Station Eleven, they wove their own story and armed themselves to kill the acting troupe. Tyler never wanted this. He acknowledged that the Undersea had grown out of his control. Big spoilers here, but more context: This is why ar the end, when Kirsten meets the girl with bombs in the airport, she shows her the actual comic book. Up to that point, Station Eleven was just a story repeated from the Prophet's head, so the Undersea treated it as divinity. After Kirsten showed her it was just a comic book, the little girl took the book and called off all the kids outside with weapons.
Yes!!! I haven’t heard enough people talk about Station Eleven, it’s phenomenal. Cried so hard at the last episode and weirdly wasn’t angry about any of the outcomes. Also I’m so glad it’s a limited series!

Station Eleven was so real that even though the content is really bleak, it made me feel good. It just reinforced my belief that in a post-apocalyptic anarchist state of life, human compassion and community would still be primary

I finished station 11 two weeks ago and it’s genius. It’s beautiful, painful, celebratory, and just a depiction of humanity. I recommend it to everyone. Only thing is make sure you’re in the right pandemic mindset bc since they deal with a pandemic going badly as well it can feel distopic and you could end up feeling down. But still it’s an incredible and beautiful show.

HBO doesn’t make “tv shows” really, I would call them interconnected weekly short films really, really it is just such very well made material at both the conceptual & functional level

Such a great show. So many emotions. I have a twisted love for things that break my heart into tiny little pieces and leave me devastated. This showed did that, but by the end it picked up all the pieces and helped me put them back together again. Fantastic story.

station eleven has such strange elements (cults, theater, and comic books) but it intertwines with one another so well that it just works. honestly such an amazing short series with a surprising amount of tension and tenderness that I think more people should watch. for me, it showed what constitutes a family, especially after a devastating event where you must find safety in scarce places. i really recommend watching it if you can!!

Tyler never armed the kids with weapons or had them go to war. When he was stabbed by Kirsten, the little girl you see at the very end took over the cult. Having been raised on Station Eleven, they wove their own story and armed themselves to kill the acting troupe. Tyler never wanted this. He acknowledged that the Undersea had grown out of his control.
Big spoilers here, but more context:
This is why ar the end, when Kirsten meets the girl with bombs in the airport, she shows her the actual comic book. Up to that point, Station Eleven was just a story repeated from the Prophet's head, so the Undersea treated it as divinity. After Kirsten showed her it was just a comic book, the little girl took the book and called off all the kids outside with weapons.

I finished station 11 two weeks ago and it’s genius. It’s beautiful, painful, celebratory, and just a depiction of humanity. I recommend it to everyone. Only thing is make sure you’re in the right pandemic mindset bc since they deal with a pandemic going badly as well it can feel distopic and you could end up feeling down. But still it’s an incredible and beautiful show.

Such a great show. So many emotions. I have a twisted love for things that break my heart into tiny little pieces and leave me devastated. This showed did that, but by the end it picked up all the pieces and helped me put them back together again. Fantastic story.
