Here’s a quick video on cherry blossom update for this year! I’ll be giving daily updates on my instagram so make sure that you follow me there for a more updated information 😆 instagram.com/tokyofoodiesarah?igsh=NHdlZWVlN2JoZXdy&
Thanks for the update, Sarah. Despite the bare trees, you can really feel that the spring is approaching and it is a wonderful feeling. By the way, you could have a drink there by the trees and we would not see any difference from your face and the absent cherry blossoms. 😉 Jokes aside, it seems very unpredictable when the cherry trees will bloom for someone planning to go to Japan partly to see it. Sometimes it is earlier than usual and sometimes it is later, which should be considered the usual when you think about it. It would be pretty creepy if it happened on a specific date every year. 😊 Luckily, Japan is so far from Europe that you should go there for at least two weeks and not for only one week, which gives you at least some room for minor deviations. With my job, I don't think I will be able to go for that long this time of the year though, until I (hopefully) will be retired in about 30-35 years. 😢 On the other hand, by then I have hopefully saved enough money to go every year for the rest of my life. 😃
Just got back from a two-week "cherry blossom" viewing trip to Japan. I sure saw a lot of bare branches. 😣 We even paid to go on the Sagano Romantic Train in Kyoto to see some more bare branches.🙃It seemed the Imperial Palace in Tokyo and the old one in Kyoto ensure they have cherry blossoms on their grounds, it's where we found the most blossoms this trip.
We booked our trip especially for cherry blossoms and our flight back was on 31st of march, we missed it so badly 😭 I want to book the next flight just to see the cherry blossoms, but it's so expensive 😭 though we thought our research was wrong but the news in Germany said that they were much later than expected because of bad weather... 😢
I hope during my trip to Japan next year (17 March-April 11) the Sakura will be a bit more accommodating. But since most of my time will be in the Chūbu region it could go either way.
Even though I loved every second of my most recent visit to Japan (05 November-01 December 2023) I was ever so slightly bummed because the peak Autumn colors were later than expected. That's why I said I hoped next year the sakura would be accommodating. Yes, my visits are on the longer side of things, but my plan is to visit Japan every couple years for about a month each time.
Yes they have not bloomed at all just yet and they have never been like this!! I wonder climate change or even the cold weather affecting them!!??? Hopefully they will start real soon and are alright!! 🙏🙏🙏
Nice park, and great video. Nature's ways are mysterious, I'm sure we're going to have a beautiful and great video full of blooming cherry blossoms next week or so. Looking forward to it already. ☺👍
It was a early 🌸 season here in NYC 🗽

That’s a long stay! I hope it fully blooms whilst you’re here!

Speaking to my girlfriend in Japan, she said there was supposed to be a cherry blossom festival this weekend in her town, but, alas, not blooming!

Thank you so much for showing me spring in Japan. The spring flowers are out in Ohio usa also. Beautiful blue spring flowers.
Thank you too!
The best time of year, just around the corner! 🌸
Yup! 🥰🌸
Is there anywhere between Shimbashi Station and the garden you recommend picking up a little picnic food and drink?

Hi. Is cherry blossom blooming now ? We arrive on 13 April hope to see some then
Got in on the 29th. I hope to see some in Tokyo before heading down to Kyoto. 😎

Wow, beautiful Hamarikyu gardens. Nice video, friend. Thanks.
It was very beautiful!
Nature has it's own timing...a young tree in my back yard wasn't budding at all a few weeks ago, thought it died, but now it has green all over!
Wow that’s amazing 😆
