      perhaps do they get monetization per video length, so they try to stretch them ?! goddam.

  • @alexaf.3158
    @alexaf.3158 3 роки тому +4

    Guys, I read some of these comments about people ruining their pens... It really takes only 3 seconds to do this. Get rid of the plastic of the pen and only burn the very tip of the pen (the ball part) DON'T burn the plastic. That will obviously ruin your pen. Be careful and do it for a second at a time, then repeat until you see or feel the INK MOVING! Once that happens your pen is working again, and you should stop before the ink shoots out or something lol

  • @snowlostvayne2849

    An even simpler and safer method: Use boiling water in a coffee cup instead of the lighter or any other open flame. Will work just as well if there's any ink left in the cartridge.

    This is only a temporary solution in most cases, as the ink won't keep flowing. What generally happens to ballpoint pen ink over many years is that it breaks down and thickens. Thus, it won't flow down to the tip. Heating it up will encourage flow for a bit, but once it cools you're back to the same problem again.

      @@philomenanonis8634 Thanks for the compliment but no, just very experienced with ink refills and I did have the luck of talking once to a chemist who was involved at one point in the formulation of ballpoint ink. It's a very tricky balance of compounds that need to endure all sorts of temperature stresses while still being able to flow. And it's an imperfect dynamic, that little tube where any backward flow leaving gaps is a death sentence for the refill.

    If you have more than one of these pens, the best way to save a defective one is this.: use pliers to take out a working tip and "transplant " it in the tube which contains the defective tip. So, once you find a pen which works very well, use it all the way . The tip can then be used again in a similar pen. Forget about lighters, hot water etc. These are only short term measures which get you practically nowhere.

    Give this man a Nobel prize. And another to whoever can discover why pens that are apparently full of ink stop flowing in the first place.

    • @GermansEagle
      @GermansEagle 7 років тому

      Depends on the pen, but it's normally air stuck in between the ink and the ball pin. Also viscosity has a factor in it, and also when using gel can interrupt it's own flow. Many factors, but the solutions are basicly the same

    FOR STUDENTS WHO CAN'T PULL OUT A LIGHTER DURING A TEST there is another method that I've developed after having my pen dry out so many time especially during long essay.....If the metal part/tip of the pen can be detached from the cylinder that contains the ink you can pump ink back to the tip.....take the metal part and the ink tube and repeatedly connect them and pull them apart you'll notice that some ink will come out of the opposite side of the tube that is not being repeatedly connected and pulled apart from the metal part/tip of the pen...take that opposite side that had ink coming out and now plug it into the metal part/tip and volia! ink! Word of caution....dnt pump too many times or the ink on the opposite side will overflow and make a huge mess...trust me I had experience with this....

      When you're finished using the pen after you've heated and used it, be sure to store it where the tip is pointed downward, that way the ink will drip to the front of the pen. Maybe a good shake or a vigorous scratch on a pad will get the pen writing again.

    put the point on the lotion (a small part) and stir it
    then put little amount of water in the top of the ink
    then do the one in the first one again and it works :)

    Or...a much safer way is to rub it with your hands to make it warm. (I dont know if it works for normal pens, but it works for gel pens.)

    Worked. I put pen high above flame so it didn't get quite so hot.

    warning, dont light for more than 10 seconds, else the ink may spew out the opposite side, melt the plastic tube . I experienced this, you don't want this

    It will be hot for some time and then cool and freeze thats worse. This trick is right but keep it lil more away . Do not heat it too much

    A felt tip becomes an emergency candle. A candle that causes an emergency.

    Try putting your pen in HOT water for about a minute or so. I see you melted your pens with the lighter, so don't scald your hands off doing this, just put the pen about 1/2 way down. It will soften up the dried up ink in the pen. The ink has probably gotten thick and won't run. Maybe just put it under the tap, running HOT water only. P.S. no good for the classroom, LOL!
