I like the analogy and training technique of hit sand. Regarding death touch. Because in becoming one new whole (of works) that cancels "sin" and death, (death cant find room to make a way into) requires getting into the air. And getting yourself/performance into the air will feel like particles of sand (hard and nitty gritty). This point concerns accomplishing the law and truth. Another example like sand is a digital television screen. Where both light and dark form a word/story/truth! Thanks for the opportunity to hear and learn from the shoulin master. Finally someone who speaks my language. Matter yourself with it all and be something NEW & BIGGER!! Perhaps is one way to say this. But certainly masters sayings are vital in order of being at your best!

This concept was taught to me by my master when we would train Iron Palm only with one hand. When I asked "Why not both hands ? " He told me that it takes a really long time to be able to control its power and that can cause harm. So you always want the gentle hand. Because you learn to hurt and destroy before you learn to heal. He told me that he went to pet the dog one day and didnt realize he put so much power into it. Also that he tapped his wife on the back , but didnt realize how much was going into it. That is when he realized the lesson.
The point of marshal arts is that one is not killed. It helps if one is prepared to face death, whether one's own or that of the assailant. However, it is better to avoid such a situation.

I also believe having a demon hand and buddha heart means being able to do anything thats necessary but with the right justification. For example say you're in a toxic relationship, you need to have the demon hand to cut off that person while having the buddhas heart to not seek to hurt them for what they did you.
