BW Gather Groups: December 2024 - Jennifer Smothermon

This Fall, we're introducing something new for the 2024-2025 school year: video interviews. This month, we’ll hear from Jennifer Smothermon who is the Clinical Director for the Beltway Counseling Center . In this video you will hear Jennifer piggy back on our legacy conversation talking about how to "show Up" for the next generation, be it our children, grandchildren, spiritual kids, mentees, etc. She will talk about what that looks like practically in your life.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
1 - Who are the people God has placed in your life that need you to show intentionality in the ways you show up for them?
2 - Are there ideas you received from watching this video on how to begin or improve the way you are showing up for the people in your life?
3 - Are you caring for yourself in a way that you are prepared for a healthy response when not if things escalate with the people in your life?
4 - Are there areas you feel like are going really well, that you can encourage others and give them wisdom in how to show up for their people?
5 -Do you feel you are fostering a culture of safe open dialog and good communication in your relationships? If not, how can you take a step to improve this?
