  • Another successful track day, this time rocking the venerable Dunlop Q3+ tires. I discovered early that I was limited by the foot-pegs dragging, so I focused on being smooth and learning the track over trying to get the most lean angle possible.

benis benor mostly because they’re cheap to buy and if used as a track bike, so many inexperienced riders buy them then crash them on the roads, so it’s cheap to put one together for a track bike.
I have a late model R1, and a Triumph Daytona 675, and I take that out 9/10 when I ride with my mate all on bigger bikes! It’s much lighter, it’s quick, i own them in the corners, and they don’t have a great deal more on me on the more open stretches! A super sport will smoke any bigger bikes if riden by the right rider!
My mate has a Kawasaki ZX10R I think? A later model kwaka 1000cc and he’s not skilled enough to ride it, so if it’s just us two I take it easy because it’s too much of a bike for him and I’ve lost too many mates and family from bikes, and almost myself in ‘05’!
Each to their own, but 600’s have their advantages bro
      Safe riding mate 👍🏻

I only owned my r6 (first bike at the time) for Maybe 2-3 weeks, and this was the first time was actually going to practice really leaning into the turns. I was doing okay, bout as good as your gonna get the first time on curvey roads... Then this dude on some big ass adventure bike, saddle bags, tank bags, etc. comes flying by me... Let's just say that hit hard lol you better believe I was out there as often as I could to practice. That guy is the reason I learned how to get my knee down so quickly. I was gonna be ready for him if I saw him out there again... Unfortunately I never did. I'm still waiting for my chance to redeem myself lol

I have the same bike. It's incredibly fast and very forgiving too. I notice that the better I got, I started scraping too. That's when I really started training on proper body positioning and now I scrape the knee instead of the pegs. The bike is more upright and you can actually go faster, well theoretically at least. Where is your camera mounted? It seems like you're right completely neutral to the bike...Do you get your ass off the seat at all?
