Danno. I shop Publix all the time. I'm a senior on fixed income. At Publix, shop the BOGOs ONLY. Don't look left, don't look right, just get the BOGOs. Know ahead of time what the BOGOs are via the Tuesday flyer. If you do this, you can save a ton of money. (Even compared to WalMart, Aldi, etc.) But BOGOs only!!! Love your videos. I get a "Publix Early Preview Flyer" automatically e-mailed to me every Tuesday. I signed up for it online. The BOGOs begin every Wednesday here in Thomasville, Georgia.
But some of these prices that say buy one get one free when you look at the cereal and it's 8.99 for one box of cereal and you're getting two for $8.99. That's still 450 a box for cereal that you can get for $2.99 at Walmart so not everything b o g o is a good deal
I live walking distanceto a Publix shopping center. I only shop there for the BOGOs and the 2 fors, and a few things they don't have at Aldi. They normally jack the prices up a little for these sales. However, whenever I see some of their ridiculous prices, I say out loud, "they must be outta their minds".
@@robertcooke4989 Not a lot different. We have one in Louisville, KY and I act the way Danno does whenever I walk through the store. Still, I do get great deals on BOGO's a time or 2 a month.
Well I live in Florida and we've come on some really hard times here. We went from a $200,000 job a year to no job because my husband got COVID and almost died. So I could never ever afford to shop at Publix. Even the bogos are terrible. That cereal for $8.99 for two means they're $4.50 a piece and at Walmart the same cereal is 2.79. How is that a bogo deal. I'd like to know what kind of people and what kind of jobs they have to shop at Publix? This is just sad to see. And to see people riding positive things about this is making me cringe. I don't know how they keep up with their inventory of Publix without a whole bunch of waste😢
@@ShariLeDouxI'm so glad you can afford to shop at Publix That's really amazing I wish I could afford to shop at Publix. Their produce section really looks beautiful. I will say Walmart's produce doesn't look like this. But I can't afford it but whoever can I'm really happy for you 🤗
The customers that I see in Publix these days are NOT Floridians but Northern City folk from the East Coast and Midwest used to paying high prices. They work from home and still collect their big city salaries while living in Florida
What! if the ruffles are on sale for 2 for $9 and you save $3.38. that means that 2 bags of them are $12.38, which is $6.19 each regular price. Danno! Get outta there!!!!!!!!!!!!
@fmx1018, I had a shampoo that was 10 years old, I used as hand soap and it worked well. I no longer throw or donate my old clothes and coats either I will used them as rags to clean and some I will keep that are in good condition. Now a days we have to be creative. Also I am learning new recipes on youtube rather than spending money on buying expensive food.
for stuff like shampoo, deodorant i am not brand specific. i just watch for clearance sales. good thing i work in a shop by myself because the one bottle of shampoo was fruitty flavor, i believe it was pomegranate or something like that. i didn't care because the one bottle was .40 and then a few days later i found another bottle of the same stuff that must have been hiding for .25. i didn't care, at least my hair was clean. if i know i am going out in public i try picking a more masculine smell of shampoo for that day but if i plan on just working in my yard or shop, games on grab the ones that would get me teased uptown. . same with deodorant. i just buy them up whenever a store has them clearanced out. I think i have 6 tubes right now in stock and i don't think 2 are the same of those.
As someone who used to live in Florida and shop at Publix, and now lives in Tennessee and just so happens to work for Publix, allow me to shed some light on the BOGO thing. In FL you have to get two to get the deal. However, in other states it may be different. I know here in Tennessee at Publix the BOGO's are the half price you were talking about. Meaning it splits the regular price between the two. I believe it is possibly based on what state the store is located in. IDK why they do it like that though. So, some people get surprised when they come up from FL or when they go to FL from Tennessee because they didn't know they were different.
I don't even go to Publix I won't even walk in there. I'm sure it's beautiful and all but it would just make me very depressed to go in there knowing I can't afford to shop in a store like that😢
Good Morning, Danno and Jess! Don’t know when you’re going home but safe travels back. My parents always had shopped at Publix in Florida when they were alive but I know my father would be screaming over these prices! Right now, just trying to pay off all the bills we have so have cut out all the extras.
I LOVE PUBLIX..You have to know what to buy and WHEN to buy..Their brand of foods are always good..Winn Dixie products are higher and not so good.. Danno, Great Shopping with you today... Thanks for making me lol😂❤
I moved to FL in 2000. I did almost all my grocery shopping at Publix until last year because their service was worth the extra cost. Their service is still top notch, but with inflation I can’t afford to continue to shop there for all my groceries. These days I go for produce and BOGOs
Good morning Danno & Jess ❤ My fav moment at the grocery store these days is finding unexpected clearance tag on something that I was planning on anyway😊 Last week it was large containers of Organic girl Kale for 1.34. Picked up 3 and opened up/ chopped/prep for freezer since I like to add to my weekly homemade soups 😊
I shop at Publix all the time but only for the sales and BOGOs. I do buy their produce because it's localy sourced and the best around. I do think that the publix you are shopping at might be more expensive than where I'm at because of the Disney location.
I no longer live in Florida, but when I did I watched them as Albertsons and Winn Dixie were shoved out. Winn Dixie was so much cheaper and Albertsons had great sales. I couldn't afford to shop at Publix even 10 years ago!
We don't have Albertsons here anymore They went bankrupt and they all shut down. But I've lived here 30 years and I've never been able to afford to shop at a Publix.
Best bakery items anywhere! I even had them bake my wedding cake back in 1972! I used to shop there all the time until I moved out of Florida in 1986. I don't remember them being so expensive back in the day. I only go there maybe once a month for bakery goods when I get a sweet tooth but will check the BOGOs while there. BEST service anywhere and store always looks clean enough to eat off the floors, lol.
We have supermarkets like Publix too, I get any item in there I can't get anywhere else. I will say that their fresh produce lasts much longer and is better quality than my budget markets. Great to see Jess looking better, not so exhausted. Bet she's happy her parents are there. Did they get a room near to you? Enjoy your days.❤❤👵🏴🌹🌹
Yeah here in Florida I'll come home with four bags of groceries for $237 and I'll put it away in less than 5 minutes and go where is all the food out I bought? I'm hardly even making it these days. These food prices are outrageous. I used to be able to do things and go places but now all I do is think about what me and my son are going to eat next week instead of being able to actually live happily We have to think about what we're going to be able to eat next week. My husband after 28 years just walked out and left us took all the money and all the savings and everything and just left us. Now all I have to think about now is food. Left me with all the animals and all the responsibilities with no money. I couldn't even buy an orange in Publix😢
Hi Jess & Danno . lol I was just shopping at Publix today . Yes it can certainly be pricey. I have 3 different grocery stores in my shopping rotation:Costco, Publix, Aldi ( sometimes Winn Dixie). Today I went to Publix to buy creamer . I really like Chobani creamer it was a BOGO ( plus digital coupons) . We also bought other BOGO’s . As far as regular store sales ( not BOGO ) you don’t have to buy 2 . Example: Tropicana fruit punch 2 for $6.00 . We bought one for $3.00 . Another reason I like Publix is for the great customer service. They bag your groceries and take the groceries to your vehicle. Some customers (not me) need the extra help. Plus Publix is a good neighbor to the community. Donations etc. I get it some products are super expensive, and overpriced. I think most people shop at several stores now hunting for the best deals. Enjoy the rest of your vacation ❤
The METRO WEST area where you are is known for being a seriously "PREMIUM" area. That said, ALL Publix are seriously expensive and groceries have ALWAYS been more expensive on Florida.
I don't shop at Publix much anymore. I still keep their App on my phone so I can check out the specials but, Publix has decided I'm not their type of customer anymore. I have a friend who still goes there for certain vegetables and fruits and their pork ribs and a certain brand of milk and I tag along but it's more of a nostalgic trip.
LOVE PUBLIX! I shop for the BOGOS weekly. I stock up so I will have enough to last until the next sale, usually 6 weeks. You can buy up to 10 items and can go back and get 10 more! I buy the meat sales when they are reasonable. And you can buy just one for 1/2 price.
Stuff looks great but OUCH on the prices! WOW I would only go there for the sales. Reminds me of Shaw's in our area.. OVERPRICED except if something is on sale and see it is a good deal.
Hi Jess🥰 You have a little bit of a sun burn , when will you be coming home? Thanks Danno I can't afford that store yikes Have a great night you guys .
Campbell's $1.26. Heard about the name change so they can focus on their junk food instead of soup:( I'm expecting them to use it as an excuse to raise soup prices again.... Eggs $3.77.
Publix is ridiculous. we try to go to Aldi when we are in Florida. The one in Winter Garden is so nice! Publix have a lot of stores, so it isn't for lack of inventory. Employees are awesome I do agree. Wow milk in Northern Illinois is only $2.67 Milk has always been expensive in Florida though.
Yes we pay almost $5.25 for fairlife milk here. You should see the grocery bills I've got That's all I can think about these days. And on top of that we're hot every single day here and the electric bill is $600 a month every month. I wish I could sell this house and just move somewhere else and get away from here. My husband walked out on me after 28 years and took all our money and I'm stuck here. Sad way to spend your life when you're in your '50s and you would never think this would happen to you😢
People here in my area of Florida, shop Publix for the "shopping experience". They get a feel-good emotion when shopping there. The media has told them the store is better. I don't need a feel-good emotion when I shop, I need affordable prices. Example:A bare bones store near me has Rotel diced tomatoes for 99 cents a can.(Yes, in date!) No difference in taste between the discount Rotel tomatoes and Publix Rotel canned tomatoes.
NO NO and NO!!! BOGOs MUST be bought together. First at FULL PRICE second FREE. THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN PUBLIX POLICY. THEY ARE BASED IN MY COUNTY. NOT to be confused with 2/$8. Or 2/$10 where you can just buy one at $4 or $5. I told you last year, that was misinformation. BOGOs must be purchased together and this has ALWAYS been Publix policy.
I wrote a comment above. In the New Port Richey, FL area, I've been able to buy a single Publix 1/2 gallon ice cream sale price of $5 for one and not pay $10 to get 2 for 1. And this is quite recently. Maybe next time I go back, it might have suddenly been changed, who knows?
GREENWISE is NOT always organic, in fact, it isn't always non-GMO, nor is it even made with healthy ingredients. It can be merely a notch above sad American conventional food, FYI. Read the ingredients and decide for yourself on each individual product.
Looks like Publix is very expensive. The thing about Publix is you are paying for the quality. The produce is fresh and top notch but you will spend a fortune for quality produce
I would shop at Publix if it was here. I shop in the store when available. Love the big goods always fresh. Meat is good and I love the different varieties of food. Never boring.
I love Publix. But in our area it has always been very pricey. We shop there every once in a while. They also have stuff that is hard to find in other stores.
Yes! You have to shop the BOGO sales. I believe all states other than Florida You can just buy one and it will ring up 1/2 price. That's how it is in NC. But, in Florida You have to buy 2. One item will ring up regular price, then the second item will ring up free. ❤
@ danno u tube will not add a new comment. But if u watch publix around thanksgiving christmas and easter, they mark their prime rib way down as a way to give back to the community. They loose millions of $s doing this.
I've been buying the Publix 1/2 gallon premium ice cream in the New Port Richey, FL area specials for the buy one get one free for quite a while now. And I can buy just one with that sale price. So when they're 2 for $10.00, I can pay $5 instead of $6.39 for one.
@@pinschrunnerI just got home from Publix, I shop there every single week. And Yes, BOGO rings up half price in my state of NC. It is different in Florida for some reason.
Where is the Vacation videos Danno? Do you think you can do animal foods and supplies for those of us who run animal sanctuaries? I have 28 dogs to feed. 🤗 When I saw the price of those Cokes I almost passed out. They're $2.99 at my Walmart. Publix is saying they're $8.49 each Oh my God what is wrong with Publix I would never shop there. I could never afford that. I wonder where all these rich people are coming from that are shopping at Publix. Tell me what they're doing for money. Dang😢😢😢😢😢
Florida is true bogo, buy 1 get the 2nd for free. All other states are half bogo, 1/2 price for 1. We love Publix and only shop the bogos and items that have digital coupons.
I stopped shopping at Publix 2 years ago. Their pricing is outrageous. I can get comparable meat and produce elsewhere for less. Packaged goods are pretty much the same, and cheaper, anywhere you go. Even on a BOGO promotion things are cheaper elsewhere.
I wish we still had Mueller’s pasta. I liked that brand. Similar prices to where I am in Brooklyn, south west side. The sale tags that say for equal or lesser means if you get one box marked higher, that sale price won't apply to eithet product. I only shop sale items.
You are in a tourist town, prices are going to be much higher. I shop Publix and our prices are nowhere near that high. I am in a non-tourist town. Our BOGO is buy one and get it half price if you don't need two. I usually get two because it doesn't go bad. You do not have to buy ten of anything to get it at a dollar per item. My Publix matches Kroger prices as well.
I do a lot of my shopping down there at Winn Dixie off 535, decent prices, decent selection, great Kosher section, good produce, feels very local for being as close to Disney as it is. Publix is so spendy and if I go to Walmart other than opening it's to busy. Edit: I tried the Jack Links Chili. Nope. It's Hormel with some shredded beef.
We only go for the bogo deals. the ones in TN and the ones i visited in FL near beaches in FL on gulf side have always been you can buy one and it will ring up half off. Enjoy y'all's vacation! :)
In Florida as well. I only go there for their BOGOs. They price gouge like crazy. Their food is great, but they are double priced against the market on everything that is not on sale.
I shop at Publix but only for BOGO’s and sale items. You really have to know your prices elsewhere though to get savings at Publix. For me I will only buy a sale or BOGO item if the price will be lower than anywhere else (per item) I can get the same product. Never get regular priced items, you’ll go broke!
Shopping is a temporary experience. A “pretty,” store won’t help you stay within your budget! Grab the BOGO and then get the heck out of there!!
Publix looks super pricey but produce looks great and it looks clean, well stocked and organized
Love Publix for freshness!
Thanks Danno for all your hard work. We appreciate you.

Honestly 95% of what I buy is on sale. Fortunately do not have allergies or other health concerns that force me into requiring certain items.
Florida is a true BOGO State, you have to buy one and get one for free. Any other state you can buy one for half price. Hope this helps!
That doesn't happen here in Indiana. One is going to pay the reg price of that "buy one" whether one grabs that "get one free" or not.
And if you’re in GA and want just one of a BOGO, it rings up at half the cost.
Update That's close to the prices here in Rapid City South Dakota USA It's expensive to live in the United States now.

Here in N Alabama you only have to buy 1 of the buy one get one free. It comes up half price. Most of the time they are great deals
If u are allowed to mix/match
You pay the higher,,,lower one is the free one
Even if I was wealthy, I wouldn’t waste my money like that!! Good grief!! 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Its not that way in Georgia, you can buy one at bogo price, you can watch UA-cam couponers deals every week there.
@@scarycarrie1809 interesting
Not like that in TN.
GREENWISE is NOT always organic, in fact, it isn't always non-GMO, nor is it even made with healthy ingredients. It can be merely a notch above sad American conventional food, FYI. Read the ingredients and decide for yourself on each individual product.
Those limes looked to me shriveled up and dry and they want $3.00 dollars for 5? Me not think so. 🤨
In South Carolina you can buy one and get it at half price on the buy one get one free
Same in Georgia
I can only afford BOGOs at Publix at this point
Thank you Danno,ive never seen a publix store,are they a Southern thing?✝️❤️
They are a very old Forida store that has expanded to several southern states.
@@lisah.8653 ok, thank you 😊.
Uncle Ben's Ready Rice $1.99 at Ollies.
Publix is always high but they make up for it with all the BOGO deals.
Baked goods
Also, they have killer deli fried chicken, and you won't get listeria like with the Boars Head subs they sell.
I agree. I didn't shop them this week. It's wise to price comparison shop with their BOGO and coupon deals.
I love Publix. But in our area it has always been very pricey. We shop there every once in a while. They also have stuff that is hard to find in other stores.
Last week Publix ran a special on Philadelphia cream cheese in the brick and it was two for five.$2.50 for one. I bought it.
Yes, food is very expensive
Fun ending....bye Jess!!!!
No, BOGO mean BUY ONE AT FULL PRICE GET ONE FREE. YOU ARE CONFUSING THIS WITH "2/$_ WHERE YOU CAN JUST BUY ONE. MISINFORMATION.
@scarycarrie1809 Yes, that's different than BOGO. If it's on sale for 2/$4.00 for instance You can just get one for $2.00 in any state.
@@pinschrunnerI just got home from Publix, I shop there every single week. And Yes, BOGO rings up half price in my state of NC. It is different in Florida for some reason.
Stop shopping Publix now
Where is the Vacation videos Danno?
🫨 Holy Cow - how do folks in Florida afford to live there ? Crazy prices on groceries
We shop at Aldi’s and Walmart. I only go to Publix for items I can’t find elsewhere for less.
❤❤22❤❤ THANKS 4 😅 YOUR HARD WORK ❤
I stopped shopping at Publix 2 years ago.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
3 Publix coming to northern Ky. Alexandria, richwood area and Independence. I’m really excited about it. Pub subs are amazing.
They are the best, green wise brand is always organic too I believe
You are in a tourist town, prices are going to be much higher. I shop Publix and our prices are nowhere near that high. I am in a non-tourist town. Our BOGO is buy one and get it half price if you don't need two. I usually get two because it doesn't go bad. You do not have to buy ten of anything to get it at a dollar per item. My Publix matches Kroger prices as well.
Buy 1 get 1 you have to take 2 items.
2 FOR 5.OO you can buy one item for 2.50
Unless that sign says Must buy two.
This depends on the state. In some states you can just get one for half the price. Florida requires you to get 2.
@@thepeacefulporch9240 thx
I do a lot of my shopping down there at Winn Dixie off 535, decent prices, decent selection, great Kosher section, good produce, feels very local for being as close to Disney as it is. Publix is so spendy and if I go to Walmart other than opening it's to busy.
Edit: I tried the Jack Links Chili. Nope. It's Hormel with some shredded beef.
We only go for the bogo deals. the ones in TN and the ones i visited in FL near beaches in FL on gulf side have always been you can buy one and it will ring up half off. Enjoy y'all's vacation! :)
GM ☕️
In Florida as well. I only go there for their BOGOs. They price gouge like crazy. Their food is great, but they are double priced against the market on everything that is not on sale.
Florida ALDI has better produce than Publix, hands down
I shop at Publix but only for BOGO’s and sale items. You really have to know your prices elsewhere though to get savings at Publix. For me I will only buy a sale or BOGO item if the price will be lower than anywhere else (per item) I can get the same product. Never get regular priced items, you’ll go broke!
I only ever shop the bogos rhere and usually I'm even picky with that lol. Best thing st Publix is the fried chicken, 20 piece dark or mixed for $18
I live in New England and the fried chicken... 20 pieces for $18 is an okay deal
TN has a law you can buy 1 BOGO at half price. In FLA you have to buy 2 to get BOGO price. Publix headquarters is in FLA. Go figure.
Label is very clear.
Please give us a tour of Trader Joe's.
Get the lesser one free coupons are good though
