    @ziadabdeldayem6884 Hi Mr. Abdeldayem, In this video, WCB ab does not match the coordinates A & B given, there is an angle error of 8" ?

    how you got the WCB of AB??
    If i we have a new project and only 1 known point from where you got WCB of AB??

    • @uncertaintyprinciple5430
      @uncertaintyprinciple5430 5 місяців тому

      It's impossible to have only one point. You will have at least 2 points, but never accept 2 control points from anyone even if you get them from local authorities, always ask them for at least 3 control points. At least you will have a Resection methodology on how to calculate a 3 angle triangle 😉
      Note: In this video, WCB ab does not match the coordinates A & B given, there is an angle error of 8"

    when you say "always start on a point with known coordinate" how we come about knowing the coordinate of that point if not given on paper like on your example? Is it ok to just make up a coordinate if is local network?

      The starting station might be a Benchmark (a point with known coordinates). The surveying agency in each country has established a lot of Benchmarks to cover their lands. For local projects you can use an assumed value for your Benchmark (starting point).

      @@ziadabdeldayem6884 understood. a lot of building setting out are local. so by the way, what is the method of actually correcting those coordinates once you work out correction of angles and distances? are the new coordinates corrected in the total station and then marked on the ground/pegs?

      Guys do you know what traverse adjustment means before asking this question?????
      Before starting work you will get at least 2 coordinates from local authorities... but never accept 2 control points from anyone even if you get them from local authorities. You must ask for at least 3 control points. With 3 coordinates you can do Resection and check the accuracy of the 3 coordinates, if they do not match each other do not accept the control points and ask them to check again. When everything is OK you can start creating new control points and when you have created a loop with new control points you can start the Traverse Adjustment Method!

    Hello Ziad
    How the total station get the WCB from the norh? Or is the total station can know where is the north?
