I watched that Miller save live and as a Wings fan I stood up and smiled. Ryan Miller is one of those players that never got his name on the cup but sure as hell put the work in to deserve it.
You'd make a fantastic soccer/football fan if you aren't one already. Edit - I take back my slightly sarcastic comment as I had assumed you were referring to an earlier clip. I agree with you, that was 100% over the line! Total BS!
As good as the goal by Tage Thompson was at 4:32, the goal he scored against Chicago on March 28, 2022 when he broke his stick attempting a one-timer and the puck bounced off the end-boards and ricocheted off the Black Hawks' goalie and went in was by far a much weirder goal. Maybe keep that one in mind if you do another compilation like this!
We all have to agree that puck physics are way more intricate than that of ANY ball. American football, and rugby are tied for second but it’s still not even close.
3:28 I was actually at that game live. Kings still won that game in OT, but that moment Wings were down 1 goal. We scored and took the game to overtime
13:37 "Look at Time and Score" Me : "Okay? So the Habs got the Game-winner in Regulation. What is there about that, that was so "special"? I don't get it."
That Giroux goal wasn't a fluke. He's been doing that for years and has generated tons of points with it. Whether it be a goal or a rebound that his teammate bangs in, that's been his thing. Giroux is probably one of the most underrated players in a the NHL. He was the NHL points leader for like 8 years or so. By that I mean that he was the most consistent. He didn't win any scoring titles but he was always up there in points and he did it every season. He's also one of the best face off guys in the NHL. He's good in all 3 zones and passes like a wizard, while also having some of the nastiest hands in the biz. He's a 20-25 goal scorer but his assists are magic. ua-cam.com/video/aBGkzwbSQb0/v-deo.html
I hadnt gotten to his by the time I read your comment but when I saw "Giroux one", I thought it was gonna be that crazy backhand he scored against the blue jackets that one time. Look up "Giroux backhand goal while falling" or something.
@@ibieiniid4240 That was a sick goal. Also a very underrated one. I've seen people say "it was luck" just like this one. It's not luck when you try it. Maybe there's a hint of luck involved on the other end, but you can't try something all the time, have it work, then call it luck. That backhander was sick. Maybe the best backhand goal I've ever seen.
@@randyoney8793 Ummmm.... lol... .no. LMAO. Crysby has a sick backhand for sure. And some goals that are really nice. But none that are from the goal line, while falling and being checked, and sniped short-side with so little room....
One thing that all of these “hockey moments that can’t be explained” have in common is that they can be explained simply by simply watching a UA-cam video claiming that they can’t be explained.
I don't understand what can't be explained about 4:55. A breakaway in 3v3 isn't particularly remarkable at all. Nice deke and all, but nothing that can't be expected from professional hockey players. Am I missing something? Same with McDavid at 4:04, nice move but I don't see anything unexplainable. Or even unlikely.
If you think that was awful, should have added the Montreal goal against Nashville, hockey puck, hit the plexiglass and straight into the net for a goal, and the goalie was fooled
LARKIN stops the kings player from open net goal, then gets to other end right after that and scores to send it to overtime; REDWINGS win!! All cu of Larkins hard work
I watched that Miller save live and as a Wings fan I stood up and smiled. Ryan Miller is one of those players that never got his name on the cup but sure as hell put the work in to deserve it.
2:12 I love this shot on goal, utilizing a short chip shot to ricochet off the ice, creating a nearly indefensible, spectacular shot right on the mark
That puck was over the line for that goal!
You'd make a fantastic soccer/football fan if you aren't one already.

@@Kiransito really?….
@@KiransitoGo to 1:35. That goal.
It was 0:23
1:56 he is called jonathan quick for a reason
Somewhere off in the distance, I can faintly hear Steve Dangle bellowing “if you’re a goaltender, TEND THE GOAL!”
Jamie Benn casually snapping 3 sticks out of selfish frustration is a testament to his character

Wow I've never seen this goal. Was absolutely filthy wowwww
the pirate eye patch analogy had me cracking up lmao, hockey has the best commentators by far
Always brings me joy to know that "the rat" will be remember for the greatest choke in shootout history.
There is also that time he went to the bench while the rest of the team was defending in their zone
@Leo.Labine and it was game 7 of the Stanley cup finals with his team already down a goal at home
Marchand?
4:08 there’s actually an easy explanation for this one. Connor McDavid scored a breakaway goal
I love how on that McDavid goal Allen is just like I'm not even mad.

Man is being an oilers fan ever a wild time.
Was anticipating the Patrik Stefan one. I saw that live and it was bonkers.
The lighter side of NHL hockey😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You're simply the best! 🥇
I can’t wait for hockey season to start up again
lol I love how a "moment that can't be explained" is just Kane dominating
As goalies, we have all had moments like these. All you can do is laugh, or break a stick.
The greatest athletes on the planet.
But where is the clip from the thumbnail?
UA-cam thumbnails with arrows/circles are always clickbait. It's like UA-cam rule number one.
1:53 IT DID cross (barely). Look where the end of the Red-line is going across the net mouth.
Draw a line there and you'll see it was over.
1:44 0.25 speed, actually in. Unlucky team . Opponent beam , their face turn green.
these got more and more explainable as the video went on
8:03 yall in case you want to screenshot this face. My favorite moment in hockey
Grate vedio. Tank yu verry munch
On the first clip one of the announcers sounds like he's coming home lol
yes im new to this, but 4:37 is just great!
the video footage itself explains every single on of these plays.

Puck caught under a player's visor. That's a new one.
ah yes, the great ancient mystery of someone scoring on a breakaway
1:43 was a goal.
Most of these are easily explained. Just maybe not easily understood.
Hard to believe moments maybe
clickbait
How do you explain the Laine one
13:37 "Look at Time and Score"

0:31 IF YOUR A GOALTENDER TEND THE GOAL!!!!
its funny that arguably one of quicks best saves is in a vegas jersey
The puck in the visor happens more often than you would think
This made me nostalgic for when the hawks were an actual dominant team
The camera work on these highlights reminded me why I don't watch a lot of hockey highlights.

In next video Jan Lasak 2002 slovakia vs. sweeden semifinals .Check his save in overtime period.
7:54 is god damn favorite moment.
Jamie benn being a literal child can be very easily explained
Can the season start already?
How about the one where the puck went through the net and no one noticed except one guy.
love how half of these involved the oilers
that Larkin play is even crazier.. they turn around and tie the game with seconds left. Wouldn’t have happened if they didn’t save that goal
Title is wrong but good video none the less
1:51 garbage call
How did oilers tie it
Nillson? 1:25 even as a Buffalo fan, who??? Must've been when we were trying to tank for McDavid.
if everyone in this video had a leaf's jersey on it would just be a compilation of a season
if 1:43 is not a goal, im not a human.
The entirety of the puck has to be on white ice past the goal line… so I guess you’re not a human???

Why do so many of these involve the Oilers?

A LOT of these are simply goal highlights....nothing really unusual about them. 2.5 stars.
Better title: Don't be a NHL goalie for a Canadian franchise
ok
1:55 the puck was clearly across. That should have been a goal.
Well, I didn't see any sign of paranormal activity.
Still weird seeing giroux in anything but orange and black
