And so understandable. The lure of physical and intimate love between two human beings is strong.
Just today I came across a poem by Rimbaud, titled "Sensation".
Rimbaud describes the sensation of walking in nature on a gorgeous summer evening. A gentle breeze in the face, everything is alive and rich in fragrance and color.
"And I go far, real far, like a Bohemian,
in nature, joyous as with a woman."

Wow, so beautiful 🙏💗. It is NOT about being "corrupt" or "pure". It is about joy. The other disciples were worried that Ananda (literally meaning "bliss" in Sanskrit) would go to the women and because she was so beautiful, and a master of sensuality, would "convert" Ananda. When the disciples heard them laughing and dancing so joyfully, they were convinced that Ananda found a deeper joy than that of the Buddha. (Because they themsleves had not attained that level?) But the Buddha was confident because he is "enlightened"; that is, he has reached the highest states of Nirvana whose bliss is ultimate. Therefore, when the woman experienced a taste of this bliss through contact with Ananda, she was wise enough to know it is something she has never experienced before. She is willing to give up everything to know this joy and follow the way of Ananda and Buddha. They have what she wants: Unbridled joy beyond all senses. This is an example of the "Nirvana" of Buddhism or the "Shoonya" of classical yoga, the ultimate longing of sentient beings.

Nice story. Same principle why Jesus dined with sinners, tax collectors and prostitutes. Like A Light in the darkness, or a Lotus lying in the Mud, nothing has corrupted Him, for light is stronger than darkness and good more powerful than evil. Sadly, for some monks and preachers of various faiths today, the opposite is true, as they have allowed themselves to fall into corruption being corrupted by this world.

In your live you will eat good food and bad food.
The bad food shouldn't make you suffer and you should love the good food.
In life you will also find good and bad people and it is the same.
We all can control if it affects us or if it doesn't affect us.
But most people don't control their reacción to the food and its done unconcious.
There is no people in this world who can make you suffer, you choose if you want to suffer or not.

My view is after having spiritual practice, our mind is open and more embracing. Normal people is afraid of gangsters or evil people but not monks because their mind is not concern about what harm will happen to themselves but how can I be of benefit to the perceived evil people.spiritual practice makes our mind less fearful and more open.have a nice day.

Life is short Peace I didn't mean that monks were kind & thoughtful. I mean not every person is or is what you think they are

@@kerryirving2949 I agree with you.my point is we normal people care a lot about ourselves such as reputation, health and wealth, whereas monks are learning the spiritual path to become selfless, they do not care about reputation and wealth because they are learning to become selfless. Before my spiritual training, I used to hate ingrates ,thieves and evil people, but now I don't.nowadays I'm more peaceful and joyfull.

Lotus Flower grows in a muddy pond and stays clean. In time more plants 🌱 grow there and ultimately the pond itself gets cleaned.
Effect of good company or vice versa! Inner strength is the fuel to the brighter lights.

Buddhists do not believe in God only in humanity. That is the reason Buddhist do not wait till god give love to them but they do by themselves to ALL sentient beings with unconditional love, compassion, mercy and kindness.
