I never had the honor of meeting him in person but what what I've heard he is quite a nice and friendly guy.
@@RadioactiveGoose At the very least, now he's just a man who likes to think, analyze things a lot. And in this modern world of idiotized people and Instagram frivolity, thinking people look dangerous and scary.

Seeing Gaahl smile brings joy to my heart.
I always see Gaahl drinking, but I never see Gaahl drunk.
That’s because the alcohol gets drunk instead of Gaahl
The alcohol just gets intimidated and sits in his stomach awkwardly
He drinks wine like a European. Probably a few glasses a day and doesn't get drunk because he doesn't consume enough in one sitting to become intoxicated. Wine is actually very good for you in moderation.
Maybe Its amphetamine, It gets you sober.

I was fortunate enough to visit the gallery and see his art in person. I've been exposed to art of a high standard through my career and I REALLY loved his pieces, regardless of who painted them. We chatted and he was amiable and shone with a deep sense of knowing. I really recommend visiting if you ever have the chance.
Frank has such an excellent rapport/back and forth with Gaahl. It's refreshing to see a once very introverted person express themselves through a conversational medium.
I saw him perform one month ago, one of the most impressive shows I've ever seen.

He didnt arrive in this mental state until after 30+ I think, finding love changed him as I understand from interviews

Every time I watch a Gaahl interview I am silently praying the interviewer doesn’t mess up.🤣. Those paintings are frightening. Its like looking at people who have died but didn’t actually go to heaven 🥴. Lost in limbo.
I love and respect all forms of music but I'm not real big on black metal( I am fascinated by black metal) and I'm not real big on most modern art but I find Gaahal to interesting and engaging and I love his paintings, I mean I love them! Definitely fascinating!!
Gaahl looks to be doing much better than he was five plus years ago.
More than many others, Gaahl has a Wildeian take on art and I adore him for this.
Amazing artist. A truly unique figure and person. I had this privillage to meet him briefly and would give much just to be the man worth to talk to and have this chat go on forever.

Well.. He seems to be a honest man. He just hates oppression. Although I am Christian, I have a very rebel- like- nature. Still I think Gaalh has not a complete and accurate picture of Christianity. I hate all forms of oppression, the most in religion, but I feel very free in this religion Although when it is true it is no religion but a relation that creates more and more life and respect of life. I also choose to follow but still I am free to choose. True Christianity can not be organised or instituted, it can not be forced or become a culture based phenomena, than it is in its own true form and not the raped form people to often make it, betraying the true roots of it: a trust- based system that can be verified, because it is an Entity that interacts and makes life, joy and freedom flow naturaly. This is a Faith of the heart and spirit. I am also an artiest, Explorer, critical thinker, opposer confronting against every form of unnessery blocking of life in its most original and natural order. It gives the room for me to be, to be free, to grow, to express myself, to examine and enjoy life to the fullest.In this sense I really understand and feel the wat Gaahl and Marlyn Manson do, Although Manson is a satanist. But the diffence is the frame of reference and believes about what is true and important, what to persuit and what to hate, what to let thrive and what to kill.
Pretty sure that for a long time after christianity was adopted in norway only some 200 or so years ago, it was the law of the land you had to go to church or face punishment. I doubt you understand the oppressive nature of faith anything like those people.

He wasnt planning on opening a gallery "until im 72 or so", but then rumor spread about it and someone called and asked if he was interested in this space and so it happened
I was looking on screen with sound off having no idea what they talking about. Didn't want to interrupt them.
His paintings give me the same melancholia that I get when I look at Edvard Munch's works. They have the same style too.
His style also reminds me of Salvador Dali's works. Not necessarily the pictures, but his use of colour and simple lines.
He's a smart man who thinks about his answers to questions. Very good looking too.

I’m a strong believer in Christ Jesus, and I actually love this guy. I think he has a good heart and he is very genuine, and despite his incredibly dark themes, I sense the presence of God within him. I choose to view his lifestyle as artistic expression, not as hatred for God.
It's his view of his inner self , that is what you are looking at .
