An all over the place release schedule across different regions combined with almost non existent marketing via social media. Will this reboot ever get the proper recognition is so desperately deserves?

I agree. It worries me because Canada and the US audiences are what I thought the reboot was targeting, so the fact that the largest viewing audience (besides Canada, which is probably larger) hasn’t gotten it yet makes me think that once MAX does receive it and release it, their streaming revenue will sky rocket, when it isn’t the case, because so many have seen it already and will be awaiting season 2 that was just announced. It doesn’t give us anytime to relive the series we loved so much, we’re just hungry for what’s next.

It's so dumb, like a lot of people around the world would happily sign up just to watch their favorite show legally, but if you're not going to release it in some of the biggest market, you're just giving people more incentive to pirate it just so they can watch it in their country
THANK YOU!! It’s great that others are talking about how dirty the new seasons are being done. I think the saddest thing about this is the fact that the ability to have new seasons depends on the success of the reboot seasons. So if they perform badly, they'll take it as a hint to not bother with more seasons. And considering they:
(1) Gave it the same name as the original season
(2) Haven’t released the FIRST season in the US and Australia yet, which is only made worse considering season 2 starts in less than 2 weeks
(3) Bulk released all the episodes
(4) Had terrible marketing in general
It just feels like the higher ups WANT the season to fail, which sucks for those who want more seasons. Especially considering how good the new season was!

You're so right also the character dynamics aren't the same - they focused too much on the challenges and diversity instead of making the characters good and memorable - and I'm saying this a black person.
If they wanted to be inclusive, they should have done what they did in ROTI, otherwise i really hate the new seasons - its cringe and clearly for a different audience

There has been a HUGE blowup in the roblox game Total Roblox Drama over the last few months. There’s a whole new audience of young teens interested now. A correct handling AND PROMOTION, would make this show huge.
as the days go by I’m getting more concerned about season 2. everyone posting about the first season spoiled it for me to the point where I just gave up in like July-August. Now I’m worried that the same with happen for season 2 and I won’t really have the same experience that I did for seasons 1-7

I found the entirety of the first episode of the new season, (reboot season 2) and let me just say that it’s fantastic so far.

As an italian I kinda love this because usually we have to wait SEVERAL MONTHS for some cartoons to come in our country, like for example only a few weeks ago we had the final episodes of The Owl House. But on the other hand I am sorry for you US viewers(at least now you know how we feel lmao)

Yeah It really does suck(Smh).I genuinely think it's probably Extremely annoying to wait long for things to watch all the time like you explained as an Italian viewer. As an American Anime fan, it definitely isn't as hard of a wait to watch this considering sometimes it takes full on YEARS to realese some shows in the West.I really hope this will come to the states soon.

I agree, it sucks because I wanted to support this reboot by watching it on official streaming service. But, as much as I wanted to support, waiting half a year because they decide that Canada will air it super late was a bit too much, so I found the english version on the internet a day after the italian release. And, unfortunately, the same will probably happen for the second season, I wont take the risk of seeing spoiler waiting for the official release

I'm convinced at this point the US will get both seasons at the same time on Max
TDA also reportedly broke CN viewership records so I assume everyone who watched the first season is aware of Action.
I haven't watched the new Total Drama i am sure i can easily find it online but i will wait until it airs on Cartoon Network in the US

Funny enough this isn’t the first time, PI aired in Italy way before the US or Canada or WT aired in Australia. Never have I’ve seen td 2023 to get such a weird release.
Generally hope it gets a US release so it can be accessible to people who don’t have to use megz file or google

My only thought about what could be going on is that it’s technically 1 season just split into 2 halves and they could be waiting for the full season to be out to release it, which is pretty dumb since they’re marketed as separate seasons anyway and even shows that are very upfront about 1 season being split in half will release them properly and even separate them on streaming services
Not to mention that plenty of streaming services have huge gaps between full seasons being released anyway. Releasing one TDI 2023 season in the summer and one in the winter isn't even the worst I've seen of it.

There are so many voice actors being replaced. Mario, veggie tales, and others. This is like when David bazuki released voice chat, 17+ and made it a "dating app." At this point it's only good for some of the games

Yeah, the same thing is happening with other international shows slated for Max. Jade Armor was completely canceled for US release (it genuinely sounds like the person writing the page on the CN Wiki just gave up), and Ivandoe just came out in the US (woo!), but it was already airing in other countries since last year December. This problem isnt unique to Total Drama Island. Warner Discovery is just a mess atp.
It's funny, last night I dreamed the new season had Gen 2 and 3 returnees and had two new guys who were tall, skinny and generic.
As someone from the UK there is absolutely an audience here too. Since i heard about the reboot i have been waiting to watch it.
I think the reason why the Total Drama reboot isn't on Max is because i think the CEO of WBD, David Zaslav is priotizing live-action over animation, especially with the max rebrand, He's like "Max needs more Reality TV and Live-Action Shows made by Discovery, Cartoons take longer to make and is also made for kids and Warner Bros' own Live-Action Shows take a lot of time and effort we don't need to spend this much money on expensive series, we can use the money to remove animated shows from max, shut down buildings, Cancelling Movies, and Writing Shows off for Taxes.", and if thats the case, why are you running a company that started out as a animation company, David Zaslav needs to be fired and replaced by someone who knows about animation.
total drama is a sandbox show, i.e it has minimal timeline necessities. this is one of the few airing cartoons that really CAN go on for a long time, because there's so much they can do. it's sad to see it degrave

it's weird the moment I saw the characters, I just think of the original character but remade version of them, the scary girl is izzy, julia is heather, Priya is Courtney and Axel is Eva, need I say more, the only different is that two guys made out and I'm not sure if there other people who made alliance to be a couple

@@nuibaba280 and that's the problem, if I'm comparing them to someone I knew in when I was little, than they're aren't as creative than they think, just cause a person has a different look, if the introduction, their personality and their action are almost identical, I would call it like I see it.
If we go by that logic then gen 2 characters are just mix between gen 1 characters:
Anne maria: mix of courtney an leshawna (Black woman that shares a crush with their rival gwen/zoey)
Brick: Mix between DJ and Izzy (Nice tough guy that is on the military)
Jo: Mix between Eva and Courtney (Mean Atlethic girl that thinks she's the center of everything)
Scott: Mix of heather and ezekiel (Farmboy that wants to help his family but in the game is a schemer and a villain)
Cameron: Mix between Noah and Cody (smart and nice guy that's very vulnerable)
Lightining: Mix of Tyler and duncan (I don't even need to explain)
Dakota: Mix between Heather and Lindsay (Also very self explanatory)
And Dawn: Mix between Bridgette and Gwen (Generally nice girl that cares about animals and know what is up to people)
Also it's a reboot so ofc they will be similar to the original characters
I absolutely hate that I felt like I was pirating the first season when I would go from Google Drives to torrent websites to weird video websites to watch it. And I hate that I'm, once again, gonna feel like I'm pirating the second season when it inevitably gets leaked. But it's hard for me or for anyone to want to wait for when it actually comes out for us, because we don't know for how long that will be! Maybe if this season had been as bad as All Stars I wouldn't feel as guilty, but the reboot really is such a return to form! It's the most well-liked season we've gotten since like, what, World Tour? It deserves so much better than this. Everyone who worked on it deserves so much better than this.
I'm willing to get HBO Max just to support its release when it FINALLY comes out, and give at least the first TDI 2023 season a good rewatch because it really does deserve it, and I can only hope the second TDI 2023 season is just as good. But I don't know if the fandom at large will do so, much less the casual viewers.
I've heard of shows that have had scripts and show bibles leaked. Just this year I'm watching a franchise that had two shows for it running simultaneously, and one of them spoiled the ending of the other show it got cancelled. But the way TDI 2023 has been handled is still the worst mishandling of a show that I've ever seen.

Fresh TV had a choice: reboot a series that had not been around for almost a decade, or work with a UA-camr on a unique storyline idea for a new season that followed the original cast years after competing in the series (Total Drama Reunion)
They made the wrong choice.
As an Australian, we often get US shows a few months later (unless it’s a Netflix show)
We haven’t even gotten season 1 yet so I’ve watched some of the episodes on UA-cam (i will watch it officially tho as soon as it gets released somewhere here)
All the past Total Drama seasons have been released here on either Netflix, ABC and Total drama Rama is on binge but there has been no news when it will release on any of those services.
So still after almost a year I’m still patiently waiting for TDI reboot to release.

Bro honestly Max has ruined so much that I'm not even surprised anymore. Like especially after David Zaslav took over he treated animation as a whole as just cheap firewood and scrap to put into the fire whenever he wants an excuse not to pay anyone anything. And then he has the audacity to say that he wants to break through and make stuff for the children and is confused why Max isn't inviting enough to a kids audience well maybe if you kept the perfectly decent shows you so willingly threw into the fire and understood how you could have actually used the various properties you have under your belt like goddamn Looney Tunes maybe you wouldn't be having this self made issue David.
Episode 1 of this was just recommended to me on max looks like they are gonna release every Sunday

The whole season got posted on UA-cam in may and the all video got taken down the next day. I’ve seen it because I was playing TRD on roblox and I asked someone where I could watch and they gave me a yt channel that had a link in the comments to a website where I could watch it in English.

It was hard to watch season 1. I had to go to several different websites & download MP4s just so I could watch them (thankfully I got them all before anyone could spoil it)
And as for season 2. I've literally just been downloading MP4s of each episode of that too. Since it is currently airing.

Call me overly nostalgic, but I wish we could get another run with the original cast. Too many characters were left on terrible notes, they deserve justice.
