Joe (Samuel), I really like your channel and reviews but, mate, I LOVE your piano playing. These little snippets you do are truly beautiful. You could (and I think should) occasionally link to your music. I've checked out your website and soundcloud and I really enjoy your creations. Just thought I'd give you a bit of a shout out as a composer. You're quite talented.
Even a plastic piano would sound beautiful if played by you.❤ I've tried this library and I love it, maybe sounds a little like the Originals Intimate (not at all of course) I'd dare to say they're almost the same but the LABS one is free and has less disk and memory usage, good for my 90s old machine 😅
It's a lovely piano, in my opinion it's also up there with Soft Piano. Have you tried out the other free one they released which was Ambient Guitars? That's a nice one too
kind of but tuned a bit differently, at least thats how it sounds to me - I actualy prefer the velocity sensitivity of this one compared to the originals
LABS is weird now they expect ppl to hold an internet connection. no one likes stuff like that. That means if i decided to vacation at the cottage for a year i can't use LABS you know what i mean. companies should avoid this sort of thing. it's not good business model.
I don't understand what game is playing Spitfire Audio. Intimate Grand Piano is a sound of its Originals serie for 29€/£/$ ! I wanted to buy it. I don't want to re-connect every month for it. Is it really free for ever ? I see that Spitfire Audio betrayed customers who bought the sound a few time ago. The free sound is it really the same than Originals sound ? The new Labs interface is less handy than the previous. So I'll buy the Originals sound to be sure to have a good full sound which was nicely presented by Dan Keen without any obligation, one day to pay for it.
Bit of a dramatic paragraph but aight. This piano as far as I am aware it's not the exact Originals piano, and I am pretty sure this is free forever. If it's not in a few months time you can come back and have a go at me in the replies lol You don't need to even sign up for a subscription for it.
I bought the Original one some time ago and as I stumbled upon this video I was surprised that a Labs pack got the the name as the Original one. I also think that this one sounds a little bit different than the Original, but much more what I expected from the paid one! I really feel dunked in the slum by Spitfire and the way they went to...Why did I spent 29€ for something which sounds bad compared to this one which is totally free!? I wouldn´t wonder if they release all or some of the Originals in a reworked form. Good for those who didn´t bought, but for those like me ,who owns almost every Original, it´s a slap in the face

Sounds good, especially for a free piano.
Oh wow! Definitely worth the disk space haha! Thanks for the great review as always!
Glad you liked it, enjoy :)

I need to do a video on Ambient Guitars, those are fun!
I think it is top draw,a great tone, nice velocity and beautiful mike work…it is intimate …..sounds like it would place nicely in a mix. Ace 👍🙏🙏🏿🎶
Couldn't have worded it better myself, as always I enjoy your comments!

@@Joe-blogcomposer thank you
Is it the intimate grand from the originals series?

Also means if it was to go bye bye/the company closes down we would no longer have access
