The reason you like hugging your kids more is because you have control over them. You know for a fact that they aren't uncomfortable. Plus they came out of YOUR stomach so you feel even more close to them and it's like hugging apart of yourself.

I’m with Tam and Jeannie, I am a huge hugger! I believe it hugging everyone I love, I meet, am friends with, etc. This is how I see it, you just never know when it’ll be the last time you hug that person. I get it if you weren’t raised with affection and aren’t used to it, but being cold towards people who wanna show you they care about you, sucks. For me, hugs are a feeling of safety and comfort. I’m not much of a hand shaker except for business and work-related situations. I’m a Cancer, so I’m emotionally connected with lots of people, especially those I love and care about.

I think you're seeing a big difference between the extroverts and and the introverts. Adrienne and Loni both seem like more introverted people. Not that they don't enjoy spending time with people. Its all about energy. Some people take energy from other people and others find socializing (even with close friends) draining.

Totally get that everyone has been brought up differently in terms of showing affection but I’m with Tamera and Jeannie on this all the way. And espcially now since after the pandemic we’ve all been through, we should hug more. I’m like Tamera, I love giving and receiving hugs coz they communicate so much. 😂😂😂 Adrienne, my oldest is like that. She dislikes too much affection. I'm starting to learn to respect her. I allow her the space to express the way she shows love and affection and I'm learning to follow her lead. I now try to give her physically affection in a way that is comfortable for her. It's all about respect. We can't make people or try to turn them into who we want them to be for our convenience. Lol I get Loni and A. Even tho I'm a hugger
