I've watched sooo many of these shows from 1973 to 82 over the past year that I've decided to leave a comment so I can remember whether I've watched it before
It's Sweet Adelines, not Sweet Adaline's! Not only misspelled, but shown in the possessive form with an apostrophe that doesn't belong. Who's responsible for this?
She was a creep! Did you guys not read the comments on the last show. She invited the guy to her house to babysit while she was having a party, and then accuses of stealing her jewelry. I've never heard of her, and after reading that comment, I don't WANT to know her!!
H/H match update for episode 1337: ... ~~~Today's action: Our champion gives a "rotten answer" (according to Gene), and is defeated after a single win. She did match Nipsey on her $2K H/H, so at least she goes home with a promise of $2,200. *Today's audience match question: "Girl Scout________"* (My thoughts: Cookies, Troop, Uniform) The celebs: Charles (Cookies), Nipsey (Troop), Gary (Den Mother, changed to Leader) The choice: Cookies The answers: Troop, Leader, Cookies Our new champion gets off to a flying start. Wheel time. Today's special star is... Brett! No double. The wheel's liked Brett lately, choosing her in 1326, 1328, and 1335 (she matched 2 of those 3). In fact, the wheel has chosen Brett far more than any other celebrity (17), with Charles next at 11. Stats: Brett has matched 10 of her last 18 attempts (55.6%), and 21 out of her 38 most recent attempts (55.3%). Her overall success rate is 44.9% and this is her 90th attempt. *Today's H/H question: "_______Notice"* (My first thought was "Burn Notice" but I won't say that. It was a cable TV series I liked from 2007-2013. How about adequate notice? Advance notice? Ample notice? Eviction notice? Maybe no one will notice? Okay. I don't have any strong feelings about this, so I'll say eviction notice.) Our new champion looks relieved, as if she had an immediate thought that she likes. Brett is also writing almost immediately, without any consternation or looking around. Is there an obvious answer I'm missing? Hmm. Brett's answer looks long, at least 5 letters, and it sure looks like she dots an "I" before she files her card (again, no second thoughts, no debates, no asking her colleagues for feedback). She looks confident, even. Well. The champ immediately says "Eviction Notice" as if it's the most obvious answer in the world! The audience is lukewarm. I'd say their response is a 4 or 5 on the positivity scale. What were they rooting for? "Final" notice reads Brett's card. (Huh. I tend to match Brett. Today is an exception.) No H/H match today. ~~~Here's our updated leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: (An asterisk before a celebrity's name signifies that she or he has "retired" from the show and their H/H stats are now complete.) (For tied scores, I consider the one with the greater number of matches to be higher; if the matches are equal, the celeb who first achieved that score goes on top.) Orson Bean - 100% (4 matches in 4 attempts). (*)Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 matches in 4 attempts). Joyce Bulifant - 66.7% (4 matches in 6 attempts). Gary Burghoff - 62.5% (5 matches in 8 attempts). Charles - 50.6% (41 matches in 81 attempts). Betty - 46.9% (23 matches in 49 attempts). Fannie - 46.2% (18 matches in 39 attempts). Brett - 44.4% (40 matches in 90 attempts). (*)Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 matches in 18 attempts). (*)Richard - 42.5% (373 matches in 878 attempts). Bert Convy - 33.3% (5 matches in 15 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 1337, excluding the missing/damaged/unavailable episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325, 645, 910, 1024, 1025, 1026, 1027, 1028, 1029, and 1030. (Note: episode 849 was never produced.) These stats do, however, include the H/H results of missing episode 968 as those results were revealed in episode 969. There was no H/H in missing episode 1035, as we learn in 1036. These stats do, however, include results of episodes 1309 through 1317, found on channels other than this one.
