My dad has been living with aphasia for the last 20 years now, after a stroke. I find it 100% impossible for him to come back but he'll be ok! Just a lot to get used to.

This completely saddening to hear but I'm glad he decided to take care of his health first, hopefully he can make a full recovery. Even if he doesn't go back to acting, I'm sure we haven't seen the last of him, perhaps we'll just see him come out to be an advocate and teach people about aphasia.
My Mother suffers from aphasia from Central Nervous System Lupus. She knows what she wants to say but she can't find the right words. I am heart broken for his family. It is very difficult to live with but it looks like he has a great support system and that is a major plus!
