Hello Rose, I love your videos so much and I can't tell you how much I have learned from you and how your videos help me STAY ON TRACK to my goals!! I also always love your book recommendations. 'think and grow rich' was one of the best books I have ever read and although there is much controversy surrounding Napoleon hill, I don't think it takes away at all from his messages in the book. His description of the story of the founding fathers and their unwavering faith in what they were doing was one of the most incredible views of history I've ever read. Anyway, I love what you are doing to help people so much and please keep us updated on what you are reading!!

This is honestly the best book recommendation video. I want all the books now! I would even sign up for audible after being advertised it for years from other youtubers lol.
Agreed! And audible has done a really good job of their affiliate marketing. I'm trying to keep my subscriptions low though, so I use a free app called 'libby' that connects with local library branches and lets me take out audio books for free, it's worth checking out!
Try LibroFM rather than Audible, to escape the clutches of Amazon.
Also my library uses Overdrive and Libby, so I listen to bestsellers for free frequently.
Lastly, EBay is my favorite place to buy books, even current bestsellers. I choose eBay vendors such as Thriftbooks, which supports nonprofits.
Also as long as you are covering your necessities (reasonably of course), You can try squeezing in side hustles that you can save or use for emergencies so that you aren't tied and completely dependant upon your employer. More income with reasonable measure and knowledge of how taxes work can help so much with all goals, short and long term

I agree with you! Rose presents really well. I loved Atomic Habits too, the other similar one I thought was fabulous was 'the power of habit', very similar and a bit more of a dive into some case studies and science behind habits. It's really good!

One good point in the book Quit Like A Millionaire is what you said: Geoarbitrage. Since its getting tougher and tougher to get by financially some people are actually doing just that; moving to other countries because its cheaper to live there. I'm sure this lifestyle isn't for everyone and I'm not trying to give advice, but I made up my mind years ago to do this and will be moving next year (or when other countries feel they have this pandemic more under control and start letting people in).
I'm happy to say country I am going to next year will be home. As you mentioned in your previous video(s) when the cost of living continues to increase (3% a yr) and wages remain stagnant what happens...you can't save for retirement because your entire paycheck is going to your bills, which means you'll just have to keep working. Everyone isn't a millionaire, doctor, lawyer, or engineer. I think those who are finding it difficult to get by now better think hard about their futures because every decade you get older the less opportunities you're going have later in life. Don't be that old man or old women working at Walmart because they need a little extra money to squeak by. I consider that surviving.

It doesn't matter how much money you make or if you win the lottery. Your spending and more accurately your psychological view of money will determine if you have "enough to be financially free".
There was a saying I heard that has haunted me. Poor will always be poor because they don't know how to be wealthy. It was I'm sure a variation of a fool and his money will quickly part ways.
So, so many people have made it to become millionaires but mismanagement leads them right back to where they came from, often times worse off when the dust settles.
Ah! The Psychology of Money was a GAME changer for me. i read it earlier this year and I just MOVE differently now. Talk about a shift of mindset. Especially given everything happening in the stock market too. Most recommended!

I like your channel because I learned so much in each video, for example in this video, now I know of five books to get my mind going, thanks a million. The first book I am going to look into and make a strong effort to read is "your money or your life" by Vicki Robin. Yes, exactly. I think millions read the books, but they never act on them. I used to be that way, but decided I would do one thing from one book and see what happens. Trusting books is difficult since there are a lot of frauds out there. Doing one thing to see if it works will raise that trust in the author and their written work.

The first book you recommended gave me pause. I feel like mindset is huge when it comes to working. If your in a career, which most of us are to an extent, to help people what is that considered dying. I think also part of this concept is how we view our work as “just making a living” your job can be SO much more than that. You can make an impact everyday! To your coworker, to your patients or clients. I love the idea of financial freedom but sometimes the FIRE mindset borders on escapism. If everyone decided to take this route, society would cease to be what it is today. Even the luxury of running clean water and electricity(people working provide this for you),going to buy your groceries(instead of farming and eating your livestock), Doctors, nurses, just the basics! Somebody’s gotta work! We could definitely change the way we view our mindless consumption
, but we need to change the way we view our jobs. It could be viewed as a blessing to others versus just personal gain for ourselves💗
Atomic habits was an outstanding book. It helps with practice regiments for instruments, dieting, working out, etc. it truly chiseled the stubbornness out of me to create and achieve financial goals.
