My Wife has the 1.5 Evo model, I drive it every now and then, but I prefer the handling and superior power of my manual Leon FR Diesel. SEAT does make beautiful and fun to drive cars. I recommend Manual versions for all VW family cars. DSG transmissions have reliability problems.

Which one to look for if after a timing belt instead of chain?

1.0 is belt and from July 2023 they are no longer recommending it to be replaced every 5 years, no set interval due to belt being reinforced during manufacture.
