That's one of the best NASCAR games I've ever played on console...I remember playing a lot NASCAR 07 back in 2007, almost every weekend, loved that game. And the theme songs were incredible, remember "Diary of jane"? INSANE....good old times!!!
NASCAR ‘14 and NASCAR ‘15 were good as well. When NASCAR Heat Evolution came out in 2016, its mixed reception caused the popularity of NASCAR games to fall down again, which is sad.
@@rookieonraceway keep in mind the only things it upscales is the resolution. If you play this game on a ps2 and a crt, the resolution is less noticable and in fact looks better since most of the graphics were designed with one in mind

But to say the sport isn't still extremely competitive is false. I know a lot has changed, but the racing can still be awesome between really talented drivers.

@@Supersonicspyro Yes they need to do away with this points system for sure. The Chase system was much more fair. I'm scared about this next gen car. I'm afraid they are gonna keep them at 550 hp which is complete bullcrap. They need at least 700 hp. I'm with you, I miss the gen 4 look also.

The sound is crucial for a NASCAR game, this game nails the sound in the replays. NASCAR Heat 4/5 can't seem to understand what a NASCAR sounds like when it passes you at 200mph.
It’s been 11-12 years and I mean yea for sure the graphics and physics are better in NH3 but this doesn’t look that far off for being 12 years ago...crazy good game for its time.
This game is so much FUN! FUN! FUN! FUN! Tire wear is a better improvement, car handling has improved since the last two games. And a race with tire wear can be fun, but it can get my blood pumping too, especially at Daytona, trying ti hold off 42 other drivers are tough, and I like it like that. If I were to rank the EA games, Thunder 2004 would be 1st, and 07 would be in second. 05 was fun and certainly the career mode is a lot more detailed than 06-09, but car handling and no tire wear really drag that game to third, which is bad, because it includes Jeff Gordon’s iconic Rainbow paint scheme. I mean you could still do the career mode, but just playing race now is fun enough.
Since this particular game added the speed blur effect, seeing it run with the unlocked 60fps makes the game look 10x better. Speed blur on a game that runs less than 60fps looks atrocious imo
I had 06’ Total Team Control back when this system was first introduced. In fact, pretty much everything from the menus to the graphics are all the same. Too bad this mechanic isn’t used in any other games nowadays. Especially racing sims with teams.

Help, when i play F1 2006 on my PCSX2, the EA logo doesn't appear and everything else is a mixture of green and texture glitches while the audio is well, then i see bits of the real game scattered on the green weird textures... is it my PC? Or is it the game?
Lol except they weren't and aren't. This is played on an emulator. Take the previous iteration of this game which was Nascar 06 Total team control. The PS2 version was absolute garbage graphics wise compared to the Xbox.

There's only one problem in the Race Weekend There's no Narrator to talk about the race anymore it's just the NASCAR theme and that's it.
Most of the drivers don’t even race now and the ones that are still in are with different teams
