dang it, i used to play a NASCAR game on my PS2 where you can crash and there is no penalty or anything. i forgot which one is that but man that was fun wrecking cars in the track. would like to replay it tho!
I'm very late to reply but the reason the PS2 was supported up until the PS4 was released was because the Nintendo Wii was just a more powerful GameCube, and the PS2 had the biggest install base out of all the consoles ever, so as long as a game came out on the Wii, it might as well come out on the PS2 because it wasn't much of a hassle anyway.

People forget Dirt to Daytona's dev name was HEAT2. You can even see a few HEAT2 logos in game in menus and such

dirt to daytona has probably one of best crash physics, I'm playing it on phone on emulator and it's awesome

How did the PS2 do better than the GameCube and Xbox? I’m surprised the PS2 lasted in the 2010’s. Now I know why we still had games for it back then.

Dirt to Daytona always looked nice, The Big boys (Fat Ps2) run a little better than the slimmer version.... That’s what it looks like they’re using.
