In Germany we call the 24th „Heiligabend“ which is like Christmas eve. It’s the day where we begin to celebrate and already open presents. The 25th is called „erster Weihnachtsfeiertag“ and the 26th „zweiter Weihnachtsfeiertag“ (translated it would be: first and second Christmas celebration day) where we for example visit the rest of our bigger families.
In Norway we celebrate Cristmas the 24. We have dinner at 5 pm, and open the presents after that. Someone dress up as Santa and bring them. The 25. is called the 1. cristmasday, and the 26. is called 2. christmas day. We dont go to work those days.
In Brasil we celebrate in the 24 and open the presents in the same day too😊 Some families wait till midnight to have dinner, but others (like me) eat a little earlier
I'm from the Netherlands, and we actually celebrate 2 days of Christmas. Your boxing day, is our second day of christmas. We usually use those 2 days to visit both sides of the family.
Ciara, what a beautiful tea set you've got as present!... Aah.. The pleasure of drinking tea from a saucer! I don't know why we have stopped drinking tea from saucer! In India, as a kid, I used to watch almost everyone around me pour tea from the cup into the saucer and then drink out of it. Not sure why, not many people do it anymore. 🙃 And reading by the light of the candle stuck in that beautiful candle holder. That must have been quite an experience...!!!🕯 Beautiful gifts you received Ciara! Glad that you had a wonderful Christmas! 😃 26th Dec is just called as 26th Dec in India. No special names! 😄
It’s also St. Stephan’s Day in Finland (Tapaninpäivä) and it’s traditional to go on sleigh rides with horse-drawn sleighs on that day 😊 Though for us it’s two days after Christmas since we celebrate on the 24th.
I'm from Finland and we celebrate Christmas on the 24th of December, then the Christmas Day is on the 25th and Tapani's day (or the second Christmas Day) on the 26th of December :) We open the presents on the 24th of December. Nice to see you opening the presents with your family! :)
We have Boxing Day in Australia, it's basically a day of relaxing after the hectic Christmas day. It's also a day to catch up with family or friends that you couldn't see over Christmas. Wishing you a beautiful New Year 2021! 🎇🥂🍾
your pjs look so cute! thank you for this, I also feel sad that seeing you open your teavent calendar is over but excited to see more other vlogs! this was a blast 💕
So happy you had a great Christmas time. Boxing Day in Germany is just called Second Christmas Holiday - Christmas Day is the First Christmas Holiday here. :D
In Australia we have Boxing Day! It’s a public holiday here, well it used to be but now like all the shops are open and have sales lol 😆 On Boxing Day we pretty much sleep in a lot and have a pj day, hang out!
I’m glad you had a lovely Christmas! I spent my Christmas finishing a Christmas Carol, while drinking hot chocolate, and then I watched The Muppets A Christmas Carol, it’s my favorite adaptation‼️ I also finished my annual reread of Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire, it was amazing!
Love your vlogs Ciara, along with Carolynmariereads you've really inspired me to take up reading again. Thank you 😊 I will try some of your yoga channel tomorrow.

Hi Ciara, here's in Italy the 26th December is called Saint Stephen' Day (il giorno di Santo Stefano) and it's actually a festive day but it's not as hectic as Christmas of course.
Ooh interesting! I knew there was Saint Stephen’s Day in Ireland, so I’m guessing it’s because both Ireland and Italy are catholic countries that you both have that day!

this is random, but for Christmas, i got pyjamas that look very similiar to the ones you’re wearing in videos (grey with elephants) and when i opened them i immediately thought of you, so now we’ve got matching (almost) pjs and that makes me wierdly happy haha
