Here in Arlington Texas, we had light hail last night at 4 am and I live upstairs in this tiny room, it was meant to be a loft. Laying in my cold room, not gotten a wink of sleep, I hear the thunder roaring and vibrating my walls as the hail pitter patters like piano keys pressed against the roof, not even a foot from my face, in a broken melody. I pick up my tangled headphones off my night stand and begin to untangle the pandemonium of wires, my phone's brightness piercing my darkness filled eyes, causing them to squint at the sight of it. As I fiddle around looking for the headphone jack like a blind man, I sniffle because of the dust brought up from cleaning the afternoon before. I feel the headphones finally get plugged in, and I slide the ear buds in my ears gently, I play this song. This song made my heart roar like a thousand lions, like nothing I've ever felt before. Memories of my past, of my sadness, of my happiness, they all surfaced. I felt for once, true peace. Thank you Mr FijiWiji, for this truly unforgettable experience. You blew my mind, and most likely changed my way of thinking. Absolutely astonishing track.
