- EDIT- Turns out someone installed a standard SAE thread banjo instead of a Metric thread.
while installing my new motorcycle front brake lines I thought I stripped out The banjo bolt on my caliper. After some investigative work, it turns out it was a bad banjo bolt. Watch this video so you don't use these banjo bolts and mess up your calipers!
That shrinking bolt is of a dark magic that makes people (I’m people) think they have gone insane!! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you for this vid! I am currently installing bango bolt into my block on my sr20 240sx and I'm literally having the same problem you're explaining...now I know what I need to do 🤦♀️🤣
Recommend us we manufacture banjo bolt
Great catch. Wow, can’t believe that held under heavy pressure!
Looks like a metric to sae problem. 9.33 is about 3/8
Looks like whoever threw that together has a tray of banjos from all different bikes from around the world and they picked up one and said "Looks about right"
I lost brakes on a 10,000 LB RV because of banjo bolt and crush washer.
The torque on these bolts is surprisingly low 20Nm or 14.7ft lbs. Do not go past these specs.
Did you just get standard banjo bolt or where did you order them from I have the same issue
Sorry for the late reply. Later i figured out that I had a standard thread bolt and needed a metric thread bolt. Usually 10 or 12mm.
Probably a three eighths inch bolt.
