Never would I have thought he’d make a song like parking lot scarecrow with that Gucci mane flow or dead trees with a style reminiscent of a 90s/80s dance type pop sound. He’s clearly having fun and after his success with the affliction collab and touring all over the world with so much recognition I’d be hyped and wanting to make more music of where I’m at in my life too lol

I really think that first half is just so dialed in. And listener friendly, as it can be. Rb3 is like punching yourself in the ears, but in a good way-but not everyone has that vibe tho. This could’ve been chopped in half and been a really skinny, punchy, return-to-form-but-also-updating-the-form project. The hard hitters are good but there’s also a lot of finesse on display. Prolific as he is, I can’t wait for the next project.

It was so awesome seeing him continuing to find his sound with rb 1-3 but after rb3 I had the feeling that he couldn't take the style any further. In my opinion he is still stuck and dosen't really have anywhere to go. Nothing but respect for his work though.
crazy how i actually agree with you, i loved his last two actual efforts quite a bit, but this one feels like sematary is just trying to do an idles thing by expanding his appeal by doing more sounds in this type of style. but god some of these songs just end up being quite basic and not really that interesting. it d be much more interesting if he cut down on some of the songs or maybe even get trappier (with his last ep... which was kind of a bit of a mixed bag too), shoegazier (like with wendingo). but i do think he will pull through as time goes on, dude is pretty talented
