I'm currently studying towards a degree and I was looking to do a Computer Science degree through UoPeople at the same time. My question is are you able to take the course at your own time because I'd like to do the most I can during my other degree and then finish up my Computer Science degree as soon as I can.
Hi there, you might want to take one course per term with us to reduce the course-load on you, that said, keep in mind that each course you register with and take with us has to be completed within the term it's scheduled for; a term with us lasts for 9 weeks. Within each learning week, however, you can study where and when you want while keeping in mind the weekly deadline for each study task you are required to submit or complete. Keep in mind that the UoP acronym is a trademark of another organization; we are UoPeople. Thanks!
No we don't Alexi, our classes are asynchronous. You can read about the learning process with us here: www.uopeople.edu/prepare-for-university/online-learning-university-people/
What is the difference between your computer science bachelor and associate , i am a mature student and wish to complete for degree , i have done 12 grade only. Please guide.
Hi Toony, both the associate’s and bachelor's of Computer Science programs will enable the students to develop programming skills, skills in designing software and database management systems, web development, understanding network protocols, and how the Internet works. Additionally, the student will become knowledgeable in college-level mathematics and will enhance his or her command of critical thinking, ethical principles and social responsibility. The basic difference between the two programs is in the amount and depth of coursework. The Associate of Science in Computer Science (AS-CS) requires completion of 20 courses, while the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BS-CS) requires completion of 40 courses. As such, many of the program learning outcomes is similar. However, BS degree students will be expected to achieve these outcomes at a higher developmental level.
@@uopeople thankyou so much for replying me in so much detail , I really appreciate that. If a student outside of usa completes an associate will that student is eligible to get internship in usa to practice his/her studies ?
