Very well done. When I bleed a Perkins engine, what I do is , in tighten the 11 mm but on the glow plug, then using the lift pump, pump the fuel, there shall be some come out the pipe then none. Continue pumping until the fuel runs free with no air then re tighten the nut. Then the engine sound start.
Biggest help in bleeding the 4108 is installing an electric lift pump, it also prevents future issues of diesel entering the crankcase from a failed lift-pump diaphragm.
I did this and just read that an electric pump is not advisable BC the engine is not designed to have pressure supplied. I wonder if Ive done some damage to the fuel pump perhaps by using this electric pump. (only use it for priming, not continuously)
You dont need to do all that bleeding,if you have not dismantled parts.All i do to do a maintenance bleed on my 4107 is crack open all the injectors lines turn the engine over for about 20 seconds,close the lines and she will run.

where is the glow plug and how do you replace it?

One tip I've learned is it helps to have the throttle open full on startup after bleeding.

this is a modern Perkins 4108 diesel engine, not like the old ones which comes out on Transit mrk 2 and Bedford C a vans.
