Looks like the Anodes are either non existent or need attention. Hydrochloric Acid and water (1 Acid - 10 water) can be used. Just like doing a pool salt water chlorinator.

Yes, there is a funnel that you put in your sea strainer and sealed with a rag. You crank the motor while pouring barnacle buster in.
if you are going to do it in situ - flush through 45 mins one way - and then reverse the cycle for 45 mins in the alternative direction
