Oh my dear lord, I had the demo of this game on a PC Gamer demo disc and loved every second of it so much that I just kept playing it over and over even though it only had like 2 tracks. This soundtrack just became part of my youth.
Actually the soundtarck of the new version called GRIP is very very nice if you like drum N bass. But still behind Payday 2 and Cyberpunk in game OST imo
Man... when did games lose their flair? It's hard to find anything punchy and unique in modern OSTs unless it's in an indie game. Even then they seem to all be mostly a small smattering of the same genres.
I understand what you're trying to say but remember this isn't a custom ost made for the game. They chose these songs from already released songs from different artists which is why there's so much variety. If you listen to the ghost in the shell ps1 soundtrack they've done the same thing. They were making some really good techno/drum and bass music back in the 90's better than what they produce now, and people had much better taste in music (fight me its true)
Disagree - Just launched GRIP yesterday, and heard Krakota's 'Citadels', and it made me jump off my seat, arms flailing and all... making this entire OST sounding very flat, after 19 years since I last played it
I'm having a bad day today. If I ever have a bad day this is my go to soundtrack. Times where good when this game came out. 1990's was the golden era of games.
@@Pulsed101 sadly not but it has a jukebox function which plays a random .mp3 from the jukebox folder. Works pretty well. You can also find a download to the Rollcage OST online too
Woah damn, that jazz fusion and funk tinged drum & bass from '98. There was also the ol' techstep (pre neurofunk) from dudes such as Ed Rush, Optical, and Nico becoming well cemented @ around that time as well. Wicked nostalgic vibes. Technology (Boymerang Remix) was like a revelation back in those days, never heard anything like it! Still slaps today. Oh, the game is pretty sick too

This still bangs in 2022 and brings back all the memories 🥰🥰

When people who have no idea what a PC is started making games.

Ohh yes good times had ez rollers on reapeat
Lmfao i carried this game everywhere when my dad was an executive at gm and always had cadillacs to play this in lmfao
Drum'n bass is cool
Sad to see not many games use it in their soundtracks anymore but it used to be everywhere (particularly in racing games).
Miss the MSX radio station from GTA....
@@alexbrown5658 I guess that it's because it was the trend and it faded out. Good thing some indie devs could still bring this genre back.
Everytime!!! BOOM!!!!

Plenty more like it in Fatboy Slim's catalog.
Then go listen to some more Fatboy Slim! There is also a lot of music like it in the breakbeat/big beat world.
Grip is out on ps4 now
21:24 in. Best track in the full game I think.
skrillex feeling on it
Uta D'Moure is a map not usually used
I swear I've never heard this because it just wouldn't work on my PC version. I only know the intro music 😅
Lol PC, and PS1 had completely different OSTs
@@ThrdD3gree ohh right that'd do it too

20+ years research went into this time stamp.
This time stamp will be played at my funeral.
This time stamp will never be as good as the full thing.

The audio files on the game CD are pretty compressed so that they could fit them with all the game files.
Aug 2021.
17:48 pretty sure this is why I recognise the Amen Break😂
Sadly my CDis partly corrupted (i think) and I cant hear most songs :(
