I’ve decided to use you as one of my teachers on how to decorate cakes. So when your video comes up, before I watch it, I go through and I try to decipher each step of exactly what it is you did to get to the end result. Everything from how you carve it to how you place it on the final board, etc. including the sequence in which you did things. I thought these two were easy enough for me to figure out, although who knew your little finger could make such an impression. I expected extra layers of fondant to be added, trying to build up the area of the headband on the green dude and scarf on the silver one, and all you did was use your finger to make an indent. Thanks for another great tutorial.
hahaha I love this Margaret!! Yes, I always like to keep it simple where I can haha xxx
Thanks Tracey another amazing video. Who needs cake classes when we have you xx

Thank you for a great tutorial. Cakes look amazing. I have made Oreo frosting before and decorated a chocolate cake with it and got star baker in work because it tasted delicious but never dreamt of putting chunks in to the cake. I have to try that now. Thank you.

i love this tutorial my daughter LOVES lego ninjago and wants a birthday cake that is the Green Ninja or what she calls his name Lloyd since we are in quarantine we cant go near anywhere to let bakers customize our cake for her. She was so happy for the results again. You are very talented in baking.
Awww fabulous! thank you! x
have to make this for my son's birthday soon.. thanks so much po for sharing. love lots.! 😘❤️been waiting for this since you posted pics of it in Facebook.. soooooo awesssommmeeee.. 😍❤️❤️❤️
ha ha thank you, have fun!
Do you crush the whole oreo for the buttercream or scrape out the filling first?
Nope, the whole thing! xx
Can I ask where you get your larger red acetate smoother please ?? Your link only goes to the smaller clear ones ? thanks x
Hi Dawn!! Sure, those ones are from Shereens cakes and bakes, I think she does different colours. I have lots of different smoothers. I tend to grab the ones that are clean HAHAHA
Lovely video as usual, was wondering what brand of chocolate do you use? I live in the Caribbean and buttercream gives me a huge fight.
Thanks!! I use dark chocolate Callebaut callets :D x
Great video. I really need to try oreo cake 😍 I remember you did a friends pivot cake and maybe seen it mentioned in a video somewhere (maybe it was just Instagram) but i cant find it. Can you remind me which video it was? Thanks.
Hi Lisa! Yes the friends cake image is on my Instagram, and I briefly talked about it in one of vlogs as part of the 'what you missed last week' section :D x
My son has requested this cake for his 6th birthday! Would I be able to do the fondant in stages (eg the yellow & first green piece one day & the headband, mouth bit & eyes another day), or would this cause problems with the first ones drying out? I’m fairly new to using sugarpaste! Many thanks x
Hi! Yes if you dont want to smooth the bits together you can do it separate, but you might find once you're in the zone you'll get it all on in one go! x
Little Cherry Cake Thanks! I did do it all in one go in the end! It was very well received! x
Much love as always. What’s up with the hole phobia all of a sudden? I keep hearing people mention it. :/
ha ha yes, a fear of holes...sponges, crumpets...cheese! lol I don't have the phobia myself, however some of the trypophobia images did actually make me feel a bit weird LOL
What program do you use to get your different fonts (for your lettering)? Or is it just Word?
Hi!! You can get them online at places like dafont.com and 1001 free fonts xx
I absolutely love your videos Hun! Can I ask you a quick question regarding the names on your cakes. Where do you find the names? I want to try your technique but can never find the names I need in different fonts online. What is it I need to search plz? I put the name in but usually all I get up is an alphabet in different fonts! Thank you so much and I can’t wait for next weeks! 😀 xoxo
Hi Helen! Tomorrow's tutorial has some links in the description box for your fonts :D I download them, install them on my computer then type out the name I want :D x
Thanks so much Hun, I have had a little play on word trying to do that but for some reason it only changed half of the heifenated (probably spelt that wrong!) name but I’ll keep trying. Thanks again for all your amazing videos and replies. We all really appreciate the time you take to teach us! 🤘🏻😍😀 xoxo
👏👏👏👏😋😘
Hello, what size tin do you use? How wide? I heard you say 5 inch, does that mean 5 inch deep? Wish me luck, I'm going to try this for my son's birthday.
Hi! No, the inches always refer to the width in cake decorating :D x Both lego heads were made using 5" wide cake tins. The height will depend on how high you want them to look x
