man.. when I finished reading Haikyuu, Hinata Shoyo had already become my favorite MC ever. The anime has only scraped the surface of his development so far, but you start to see him grow in season 2 and on. That scene where he challenges Ushijima is only the beginning of his growth and I’m so excited for you guys to witness our baby crow leave the nest as the show continues. Sometimes it feels a little cliche to say your favorite character is the main character, but whenever I tell others that Hinata is my favorite (tho it’s hard to decide) there’s no doubt as to why. Hinata is just great.
Hinata may not be the biggest guy on the court, but if I was on the other side of the net looking over and I just see him staring at me with those eyes I’d be scared as hell
the fact that ushijima (one of the top 3 aces) wanted oikawa to set to him just shows how respected he is as a setter/player. oikawa & ushijima together would absolutely destroy karasuno (no offense to my boys)
It’d be no contest honestly. The Great King setting for the Left Cannon and the Guess Monster? Shiratorizawa could probably beat the twins and the seagulls
I love this season, it's probably my favorite one. And like the fact that Ushi acknowledges Oikawa's powers and even wishes that he would've come to Shiratorizawa is like big
18:00 funniest thing ever.. "Concrete no Hinata Shoyo-desu". One of the most gangster lines in a show. Also, I ❤️ how the music just cut off when Takeda-sensei was explaining about their final exams. Also, Ushijima Wakatoshi, is an excellent Character. Can't wait for more! Second Season Hype!!
The best thing about Ushiwaka is that he talks trash, but at the same time, he speaks a lot of the truth. I love his "scary" look, and I love Hinata's "I'm Hinata Shoyo, from the concrete." It's such a boss level setup, and that line is such a "I don't give a damn who you are, I'm going to fight you" vibe; it just holds a lot of power for me. I'm excited for the rest of your s2 reactions because this season is hype and the level of growth is magnificent!
My favorite thing is that both Hinata and Oikawa don’t take shit from Ushijima and they won’t hesitate to put him in his place when it comes down to it
Every time I see people reacting to characters like Ushiwaka it makes me wonder if I'm the only one who knew people who were really big as teenagers? I had a beard when I was 13 so Ushiwaka looks like a perfectly ordinary teenager to me.
That meeting between Ushiwaka and Hinata/Kageyama was epic. Although Ushiwaka seems like a jerk, he's just a straight shooter. He doesn't like big talker. He recognizes talent and wants to play with Oikawa. Unfortunately, Oikawa is a prideful person who would not want to play with Ushiwaka and wanted revenge instead (kind of like Hinata wanted with Kageyama) because Ushiwaka's school beat his school 3 years straight in middle school.

I’m curious if you guys are gonna watch the OVAs from here on out? Most of them are canon and are kind of like the appetizers before the season XD especially the Land vs Air one before season 4 (pretty far ahead but just a heads up) LOL ✌️

Well in comparison to Karasuno pretty much everyone on that team is from a powerhouse middle school. Their libero can set even before Noya and everyone can think for themselves strategically. Height wise they're all pretty tall with Kindaichi taller then even Ushijima. Budget wise it's not as high as Shiratorizawa but their gym is huge, a cheer squad, and plenty of branded gear. They only have one key problem but to say more would be spoiler so I won't.
More than savage it's kind of foolish of hinata to challenge ushijima cause he made ushijima think that he is a good player but later himself realizes that he still has a long way to go.
Damn oikawa has insecurities while both of hes 2 genius competitors(Kageyama and ushijima)

also shiratorizawa isn't in tokyo, it's in miyagi prefecture like karasuno. it's just not around karasuno
