Club NoName was not at the corner of 4th and Beale. Club NoName was at the corner of Winchester and Lamar. Studio G, which later became The Plush, was at the corner of 4th and Beale.
The Gangsta Walk got started in The Expo(late 80s), which was the former NoName just a few years earlier. I was an 18yr old knucklehead in the Expo when we started going around in circles whenever Spanish Fly played Gangsta Gangsta by NWA, or I Ain't Trippin by Too Short, or Trigger Man.
The Expo used to be thick as hell on Sunday nights with bros from North Memphis and South Memphis. And although they were somewhat of rivalries, shit never broke off with each other when Fly played those anthems. And whenever they did jump off, Fly would cut the music and Ray Da J would go to checking niggs. I remember those days like yesterday.
