I purchased a Grabber about 6 months ago, my first progressive loader after loading on a 600Jr for 50 years. I still have that machine and it still works like new. Anyway...
Although many report their Grabber worked perfectly right out of the box, that was not my experience. Every station and operation required a little tinkering to get right. I had to adjust the height of the depriming station to allow the hull to slide in easily. The primer drop tube needed to be adjusted to drop the primer in the hole of the platen. The arm pushing the charge bar had to be adjusted to push the bar all the way left. The wad guide had to be adjusted on the rod. The pre-crimp die had to be lowered a bit, The crimp die and the final tapering die both had to be tweaked a little. All this to load a AA hull, one of the most popular hulls to reload.
The one thing that eluded me for weeks was getting a good flat crimp. I load a 1oz load using a WAA12SL wad. My shells were coming out with a depressed center no matter how I had adjusted the crimp stations. It was not enough to let shot leak, but it wasn't how I wanted it. I then read somewhere I needed to raise the wad ram/shot tube up one notch for a 1oz load. Duh. The machine comes set up for 11/8oz load. After I made that final adjustment I'm getting perfect shells. I've loaded over 5,000 shells so far and no problems or issues. Once adjusted properly the Grabber runs very well and produces a quality reload.
The point of all this is that if it doesn't run perfectly right out of the box, don't get discouraged. Read and re-read the manual, Watch the MEC videos and you'll do fine. None of the adjustments are hard to do, just have some patience and make changes one at a time and in small increments.
    Cheers!

I have a question regarding the charge bar stop . How is the spring oriented so it will automatically lock the bar and stop dropping powder? I just got one of these loaders and I’m trying to get it set up. I can manually engage the bar lock myself, but unless I hold it in the locked position it will disengage as soon as I pull the handle down. I hope this makes sense to you. Just need to find out how the spring is oriented so it behaves like your loader. Thank you for any information on this that you can give me. Good video.

It does make sense and happy to help. Your reprime tube may not be set low enough, or your trip rod could be out of adjustment. Hard to explain in words, but this video from MEC will show you exactly how to make necessary adjustments to get it working right. ua-cam.com/video/7PzswDuPyGc/v-deo.html

Salve e buona serata a tutti gli amanti della ricarica. Ho acquistato una 8567 grabber volevo chiedere se si potesse avere un filmato dove si fanno tutte le regolazioni della macchina, soprattutto quando si cambia altezza delle borre.
    Grazie

You can get new ones online from places like Midsouth or NatchezSS. Or I frequently see them for sale used on eBay and often at the local trap and skeet club.

    It’s a shell not a “hole”

My apologies if you have a hard time understanding my American accent, but in fact it is a "hull," or an empty shell. Thanks anyhow for your comment, and I hope you found the video useful.

@@nells1776 Good explanation of the operations. I'm thinking this model may win over the 9000 just due to the simplicity of the manual indexing. (and Mary probably calls a mag a clip)...LOL

@@hokanut I've owned both the 8567 and the 9000, like them both very much, and honestly would have a hard time picking a "winner" between the two because they're both great reloaders. (However, I also have a Hornady 366, and find either of these MECs to be easier to use and make consistently better reloads for me.) In reality, the 9000 is just a tad faster because it eliminates the need to manually rotate the shell plate, but the 8567 gives a bit more control to the user as you can visually check the operation before moving on to reload another hull.

@@kurt5490 Happy to help and glad you liked it. I actually made these videos for my dad to help him with the learning curve of a progressive machine when he recently switched from an old MEC 600 to the 8567.
