About 15 years ago, went to a pow wow in my county (Howard Co., MD) and stood next to men singing that high pitched chant, while striking the drum in perfect synchronization. The field before us was filled with men and women in tribal finery, swaying to the vibrations. Don't believe anything in my life has ever aporoached the awe filled intoxication that flooded my senses on that summer day. It left me with feelings of pride (that humans could ascend so high as those beautiful people), shame (for what people like me had done to these original Americans, and are still doing) and hope, for them, finding their way in this oft cruel world.
Beautiful words. Same thing happened to me on my first pow wow. Feel as if my life was a preparation to be in such a powerful beautiful spiritual harmony.
@@rainsarrows4315 Absolutely! They are in complete harmony and agreement with one another and with the Great White Spirit which many of us call our God. So beautiful and eloquent and healing to watch.
Oh wow this is beautiful to me, I hope ppl realise that these ppl are the one true owners of America, an it's a tragedy what they are still goin through..
Can you imagine how ugly a heart must be to thumbs this beautiful tribute and honour? Well it is a magnificent to have these dancers, the drum and the people sharing their best for the family and for the man.

Keep the tradition running to generations to come. The day will come, when you shall reclaim your land once again. Never lose hope. Be patient and simmer it well. Good luck, Love from Malaysia 🇲🇾!
This seems to me like a harnessing and expression of natures beauty and power and so an acknowledgement and worship of the Great Spirit who is God. It's truly powerful and beautiful.

I use to pow wow since I was about 7 and my parents had no idea where I learnt to dance like that.. I now live in NYC since 91. My spirit is one I am in the true land of my ancestors.
It would be great if these cultures are passed down to the younger once and they accept it beautifully... Such an honor to continue this for centuries and century more and pasaing down to coming generations 🙏🏻

Okay so i dont really know how i got to this video and am kinda confussed but im not disappointed this is pretty cool. No idea whats going on, but cool.
I love to watch this type of celebrating. singing, chanting, dancing, intricately diverse tribal finery. the dance moves diff, but the step is the same. I would love to be at a live Pow Wow. from what the other commenter said, the feeling He got from it was so great. it is amazing singing in that high pitched chant, with the drum in perfect synchronization. unbelievably perfect!
I don't know how to describe the joy and emotion when I see my brother dancing ... my eyes fill with tears ... because it seems to me that it is very familiar .... I love all this .... thank you ... I am very happy
So many in North America want to turn to foreign lands for shamanic healing yet our own native people´s have a oneness with the land and with the natural world that all the healing we need is found right here. Many people are into ecstatic dance----the dancer´s in this clip have ecstatic dance in their DNA!
