I love being Native American. No matter the tribe, tribal music just gets your spirit moving because our ancestors live within us. You just feel the singing, and shouts being made.

Sneak Up song, battle. You had the drum in vid for 15 seconds, Name of drum? Dancer Russ McCloud got some camera time, but Eric "WeeDeath" Ear was the star of this vid. Actually, too many dancers to judge.

No I don't think so. All the earliest descriptions of the Aborigene American Indians to be of a dark complexion, i.e. copper-colored race. There is only one race that has that color, so called African Americans which is a misnomer. They never got us from Africa, it just took them 400 years to make us forget who we really were. I have SO much love and respect for any and all American " Indian" tribes. I love the powows. When they perform here we try to go. I want to know how all the different tribes got all the "wording" and dances together like they do, as one tribe. If I'm confused please enlighten my ignorance. Just had to say how much I respect all tribes and would love to see their finances improve from this ignorant government that just doesn't seem to care. That's SO sad. Aside from financial help what else can I do?

+Chief White Buffalo, it's good to honor our elders and remember the old ways. But we have to face it: the old ways did not serve our ancestors and families well. Our families suffered and died because the old ways could not keep up with changing times. My great-great-grandfather was the last Sun Dance priest of our tribe. He realized that the Sun Dance was responsible for whipping the young men into fighting mode. Many of our young men died right after Sun Dance because they would go out looking for soldiers to fight. Their way of fighting could not defeat the soldiers' way of fighting. So my great-great-grandfather stopped the Sun Dance in our tribe. That ban still holds among the old and traditional people though there are young people who are trying to re-start it. Stopping the Sun Dance took great courage and sacrifice because he decision basically cost him his prestige and honor in our tribe. But he saw that the old ways were fatal to our tribesmen. My respect and honor to my great-great-grandfather Mokeen. I am alive today because my grandfathers after him did not sacrifice their lives, but turned to dedicate their lives to their families.

I also don't enjoy needing to interfere. I have encountered it on another channel. I have a question for you sir. You speak of "ullu love". I have tried to research the word "ullu" in regards to "love". I have tried to find the origins of the word also. Boy, everyone has an opinion on the word! There is even a cult band using the word. Something's you can never un-hear! But mostly I have seen the word you use in the occult. So, I am thinking you have been taught this word in a different light and meaning. If you would be so kind as to explain it to me. I am sure there would be others interested in the meaning too. Thank you

Mr Buffalo, I have seen very little drinking and drug use at any of the pow pows I go to. Most of them are on reserve land. Most of those reserves are dry. The do not allow that sort of thing. So how about addressing some of these situations. Let's start with smoking. Modern cigarettes are killers. And yet I see many many kids just puffing away at school break. No one stops it. It defiles and begans to corrupt the body the very first time they light up. They at a young age have little cocept of what they do. Most of the parents smoke also too. It is past down genrrations. At some point we end up paying to heal the illnesses at hundreds of millions of dollars. Tobacco isn't like is was in the age of our ancestors. The sacred Tobacco wasn't contaminated with poisen and additives and known damaging pesticides. Alcohol is takong a terribe tole on out people. We see this every. The problems are others see it to. All of a sudden all indiginess people are all drunks like they say all Blacks have rhythm. Or all hispanis are lazy drig dealers. What worries me are the children who are obese as there parents are.
