A father and son team traveling the country touring locations Elvis Presley visited during his lifetime.
THIS IS A BIG ONE! We traveled to Mobile, AL and met up with Elvis photographer George Hill, who attended 65 Elvis shows and took an estimated 7,000 photos. George was at every show Elvis did in Mobile. He shared his story with us, and now we are sharing it with you.

It's long been said Elvis was the most photographed person in history.
He's definitely on that list, I also remember hearing that Princes Diana was one of the most photographed as well.

Amazing how different his touring was in the 70's vs the 50's. In the 50's Elvis and the whole band traveled in one car and had to take turns driving. 20 years later he arrives at the airport in his jet and has a car and driver waiting on him.

So many things to comment on, wow! The famous 10 cokes and 4 cups of water, and the chair! I’d love to have that chair! Mr. Hill’s first steps back into the building were moving but him standing there and reliving his last moment, his last look, as the concert ended was epic. I cannot imagine the surge of emotions he must have felt 🥹 Another exceptional video guys! ❤
Great Job Guys! Glad to see this kind of documentary done finally after all these years. Glad to have seen my friend George Hill involved in your project. Now we need one more of these for my brother Keith Alverson. And let's make it for Huntsville. I had the pleasure of seeing 3 shows there in 1975...The Best Ever..Let's Keep The Memories Going!..Thanks!!

I can't imagine how George must have felt at that stage. 7:25 You work so hard making these video's, thankyou for doing so much for Elvis fans. Great video as always guys! Many thanks to George Hill for sharing the photo's and relieving his experience. On a side note, that pic of Elvis coming on stage and possibly sharing a laugh with Red and another person, I wonder who that was? You can see the person's left arm in the picture...Maybe Jerry Schilling? Also, thanks to Paul for showing the building, artifacts. You're right, the buildings and so forth are leaving us or already gone. Not to mention the people that really lived during that time. Thanks again!

I live in New Orleans and drive right past this every time we go to the beach. I've been to the battleship several times as well. I am so excited to take a detour and find this place. Thanks so much for the research and history. I actually got chills watching the part that documented his dressing room and the path from there to the stage. I Was just at the Westgate, formerly the Hilton /International Hotel in Las Vegas. The theater was unlocked and unattended............so I got to see the stage from Elvis's point of view. I stood right up on the stage and faced what would have been the audience. Highlight of my trip! I have to say, I thought there would be more homage to Elvis in Las Vegas. The older section around Sahara Blvd was where we felt Elvis the most, but it's also pretty "sketchy" around there. If I could afford the Golden Steer, I would have loved to have eaten there. Maybe next time. 💕

Your videos continue to get better and better. That stage was very narrow for all of the people that Elvis had on his show. It had to be cramped. I'm glad that you revealed the tour sheets info. I was wondering how yall got all the info about the hotels. 👍👍
Such an enjoyable video and I keep repeating myself, but I truly do believe that this is your best one yet - (hard to separate this one from Miss Estelle Brown's personal reflections) From George's personal stories to Paul's technical confirmation all just goes to show how much effort you both put into these historical documents - as Jay mentions, these buildings and opportunities are fast vanishing from the landscape. Another great video, guys!! Once again, it was packed full of Elvis concert details, as well as the hotel info that really gives us the complete experience!!! Mr. Hill was a special addition to this one!!! It hit me right in the heart watching him walk thru the doors for the first time in 40+ years!! Loved all the Then/Now comparisons you had in this one too!!! Really great stuff!!!! Can't wait for part 2!!!!!!

Great video!! Love the before and afters, especially in the dressing room! I noticed something in the before dressing room photo with Elvis the fan, appears to be a vent on the right side of the photo, to me looks like one of those box type pa speakers. That could have been used so Elvis and other people in that dressing room can hear the audio of what is on stage. Maybe to hear the opening act comedian or the Sweet Inspirations performing before Elvis took the stage.
To sit there and listen to Elvis singing all those years ago in the same spot he performed, must have been completely magical. Just fabulous what you did here.
You guys are absolutely fantastic at what you do. It's such a pleasure that you help us, those who can't travel to all these places, for Elvis history. Just incredible. I thank you tremendously. I know you will never travel to New Haven, CT to the location of The Veterans Memorial Coliseum as it doesn't exist anymore however, if Elvis stayed at at hotel in New Haven I'm sure that still exists. Also, I knew the woman who catered food for the Elvis shows in 1975 & 76 for the promoters, Koplik & Finkel. Elvis never came to her to eat but he did ask for chicken soup from her. Also, Elvis did play in Hartford, Connecticut at the Hartford Civic center which still stands as the XL Center in Hartford CT. Do you think you'll ever come to Hartford to explore Elvis history there? Or at least maybe try to do a video of your research and photos from both New Haven and Hartford Connecticut's shows from 1975 and 76?? Us Connecticut fans would surely love and appreciate that immensely. I was 7 years old when my parents brought my brother and I to see Elvis in New Haven 1976 evening show. We had 27th row on the floor and tickets were only $12 each. My mother brought in my aunts 8 mm. No audio camera to try to catch film of Elvis which she actually was able to do and I have the actual film and DVD of that film. I also have some photos from the 1975 New Haven evening Show as well. If you need any help or assistance I would surely do the best I can. Thank you so much! For all the hard work and time you put into Elvis's memory and touring locations, I'm going to have a link into all that behind the scenes stuff and it's a pleasure to watch. Thank you very much ! You guys outdid yourselves with this video. Excellent coverage throughout! I suspect the “vent” in that photo might actually be a speaker mounted on the wall, as it does seem to stick out. (Any ventilation would likely be run above the drop ceiling.) A speaker would allow the performer to hear what’s happening on stage, so they can monitor when it’s their time to go on.

I love seeing all these behind the scenes videos. I worked at the Mid South Coliseum in Memphis for 5-6 years and saw just about every concert, rodeo, ball game, ice show etc that came thru town. This arena is very similar in appearance and age of the Mid South Coliseum.
This was Nothing short of PHENOMENAL!!!!! This Video was a GRAND SLAM MANY TIMES OVER!!!! This was overflowing with Absolutely AMAZING CONTENT....Good God!

@@epbackontour I sure will! I found on UA-cam footage from the 1970 show. I asked my mother before she watched it what was he wearing. she nailed it... white jump suit with a green belt! I also asked her what my late father thought of seeing elvis live. she said he thought Elvis was hyped on something to have that much energy on stage..haha!

Like comparison photos, then/now. Many years later some things remain some change. Would be good if years later you come back compare yourself with now/then photos. Noticed that on many occasions Elvis entered back doors/entrances in to these venues, which are like warehouses, hospitals or workers entrances, not always attractive places with pipes and cables and uses plain rooms as dressing rooms.
Another awesome video. As i have said before the work that you guys put into the videos is totally breathtaking. Looking forward to part 2. What is also great is that whenever possible you are interviewing people who have some connection in the elvis world. Keep up the great work that you are doing, looking forward to many more excellent videos.

Hearing the eco of elvis reasoning in the concert hall is incredible.
I have some of Georges photos and Keith's as well. That small room with the mirror and the woodwork on the mirror along with the corner column that matched up with the ceiling track was awesome but then the chair too, wow. The only thing missing was the King himself. Your research is excellent and anyone doubting you are just jealous of your work and research. You two are awesome and I am happy that you get to follow in the footsteps of the greatest entertainer of all time. Only Jesus Christ has him beat as far as i am concerned !!

im commenting as im watching the video. the owner of WMOB was a customer of mine and a friend of my fathers. I haven't seen him in some 15 or so yrs and assume he has passed. he was a blind man and lost his sight at an early age., his name was Buddy Tucker. it was a christian radio station when he owned it.
It's a shame that there are few quality videos. Imagine the sessions in studio B had been filmed ?
Saw a Mobile 77 pic and pretty sure a different (larger) stage was used in 1977, incl a different band riser.

This could be a event for the civic center. I would pay to see dressing room and sit in audience to listen to Elvis like y’all did.
I was a captain on the Jackson County sheriffs department in Pascagoula Mississippi. Our shift was on and one of my deputies took off a night in 77 for he and his wife to go to that concert and he came back and most enjoyed. It was disappointed that Elvis was so fat he needed help up on the stage but then, a few months later when Elvis died, he wouldn’t take 10 times the money to have seen him in concert in 1977 and Mobile
