What a beautiful part of the world and a great trip. I woke up an hour before my alarm. this has just set me up and saved the day. pics were great too. thanks
The first place is awesome! Best thing, it's RIGHT on the road so you don't have to do any long hikes at night to get there. Definitely looking forward to stopping there when I go in a month
Watching this now in April 2022. The entire Tom's cinematography in UA-cam is really awesome. Such a great job over the years. Addictive I should say. I am a big fan of the entire F4 that sadly disbanded. We, the audience made up of hobbyists and photographers around the world really thank you HUGELY for the fantastic work you do day in day out. I am looking forward more of this for as long as you produce them. Cheers from Canada.
Thanks Thomas another great video, inspiring as usual and I love how you just focus on simple composition. Its getting out of bed and finding the locations thats key, not the gear.
Have been on a road trip to the north cape last year in august (im from germany), and norway is just one of the most amazing countries of the world. How fast everything changes, the landscape, the weather, the people, absolutly fantastic! You have made a great decision travelling to norway.
@Thomas Heaton I have been following you since you had around 2000 subscribers and I am constantly impressed with your videos. You are easy to follow, you have a great presence, and I have learned so much from you that I have actually gotten out there and explored areas around me and have taken some incredible images! I just want to say thank you for doing what you do and for inspiring more and more to get out there and shoot!
Awesome, your videos are amazing. I really appreciate how you describe your settings before each shot, it's really helpful! Thank you! Can't wait for the next one.
Another excellent video Thomas. I'm sure you're making the Norwegian Tourist Bureau very happy. I will definitely be planning a photography shoot there in the near future, and Iceland too. Great job!
absolutely wonderful..I use to take wildlife photos specially birds.Fortunately I came across your channel yesterday and I liked it so much..it's like watching got ..I am glued to your channel..you gave me an inspiration to take landscape photography as well..
i my self is a great admirer of simple and deep images these images talks to you and give you the beautiful story behind those views you have great skills for landscape photography.
Just found your site, very good videos! :-) As a native to these parts of Norway I must say you found the best locations. I have photographed on Senja many times but not in winter. That will for sure be my next goal. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and skills...
As you like hiking i would stronly suggest you to go to Senja in the end of Summer. There is no tmny people there, if lucky (we were) you get already the Northern Lights and colours when hiking in th mountains are simply amazing! Paradise for hikers and photographers. I still keep processing and posting images from there
I love watching your videos and following you on IG. They all inspire me to get out and shoot. If you ever head to Idaho in the US I'd love to go shoot with you.
It's nice that you look around with the camera before you scout the area. I like to imagine which way I would have gone to look for a good composition, and then see which spot you picked :) (Btw I have the same tripod, good to see it withstands all kinds of weather). Great videos, thanks for sharing, I really enjoy them.
Very impressed that you did your own driving (by the look of it).... not easy there, even on winter tyres. That place would look great in the summer, too (even though you won't get the Aurora).
Hi Thomas, It seems you are living my dream at the moment. I travelled to Europe three times last year but I did not have time to go to Norway (and it is expensive as well). As a junior landscape photographer, I am really inspired by you. I hope I have the courage to quit my job and become full-time landscape photographer :) Cheers
Only just stumbled on your channel and am currently binge watching - fantastic videos and just the right blend of geek info and general information to inspire... I went to that Polar Park in 2014 on a cruise and it's an amazing place. Even paid extra to feed the arctic foxes :) I only had a bridge camera at the time, but since upgraded to an Olympus EM-5 II and hope one day to get even one picture approaching the quality of any of yours!
I'm a bit behind but great vlog! I was fortunate to spend 5 winters in Northern Norway in a previous job, sadly it was before I got into photography...I'll have to go back!
The last shot on the video was lovely. Great bit of film. Made me laugh a lot as well. Thanks for all your films. I very much enjoy your work and also the tips. Keep up the good work. Big fan.
Love your videos Thomas... am travelling to Iceland next year in November on a photo tour which will be exciting... and then my plan is to hire a car and do a road trip around the West Highlands of Scotland. A long way from home in Australia... but should be epic!!
That last location at 1522 Pause it, would make an amazing instagram shot !!! You standing looking out to the mountains waves crashing over the rocks awesome
I'm a huge fan of all of your videos :) your images are stunning and I'm impressed at the amount of effort you put into the filming and editing of these videos. So, thank you
the aurora borealis looked gorgeous, have seen images of the northern lights as far south as norfolk, my neck of the woods, not seen them yet though, but senja kinda trumps norfolk slightly lol amazing video as always! And Charlotte, what a trooper lol
Another fantastic video Thomas, simply amazing. Thank you for sharing your remarkable work, its an inspiration to most of us. Cant wait for the next one : >
Hey Thomas, thanks for the awesome videos - I’m loving this and finding them super helpful before I head to Norway and Europe for 8 weeks in March. The condensation tip is extremely useful! Also I need to get a couple of filters before I leave! These videos have me SO pumped 👌🏻 Can’t wait you test out my new gear.
Very cool. Your video is getting better and better and this one holds all awesome photos! I wonder if you didn't even bother to capture the last image of you saying, "It's risky," It looked like it had some good reflections. Kudos!
