The colours that you chose are really lovely, don't give up on it yet, so much work went into it! I wasn't sure what/who's video you watched for instructions/guidance but the one I found really helpful was from Kamryn Cain, where hers was gorgeous (yours will be too!) and she has a link to the actual pattern from the girl who created it, also super helpful to have and gives lots of detail for how to line it all up correctly, make the sleeves etc. One tip for if your squares are ending up a bit longer on one side when you're joining, is every now and then on the side that's got more stitches, skip a stitch but then keep doing each stitch on the corresponding side, just skipping one every now and then, and you won't notice afterwards that there are some that you haven't sewn into but it will level it up so that they end at the same spot when you reach the end of the square. I used this recently when I had a cushion cover I was making and some squares had more stitches along the side than others, but you couldn't tell at all once it was done. I think for sure it's very fixable, if you look at the Kamryn video and pattern I mentioned above which also has a link in her description, I think it can be improved to look how you want it to be, so revisit it and keep going, you're almost there! Can I say too it's actually really refreshing and reassuring seeing someone have a go at making something that maybe didn't turn out exactly as you'd hoped as that happens to all of us often, so that made our mistakes a lot more real, it's much better seeing that than someone always having everything turn out right, first time, no mistakes ever! And every time this happens you learn from it and just get better and better! So go do that and then show us an update of the finished piece, please, you'll be so glad you did afterwards once it's done! 🙏🏻👍🏻
