It's amazing how something so simple as changing the pitch of music can entirely alter the energy of the whole piece. While the original song carries a more upbeat, epic energy (like you're in the middle of some great infiltration or the like), this edit sounds a lot more like it's supposed to be the precursor to the big event, like a planning or preparatory phase. It's less pronounced and more dramatic than the original song, something which I think is cool as hell. Fantastic edit!
1:00 onwards is legitimately one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. This entire version of this glorious song feels so grandiose yet melancholic, like fondly reminiscing about something from long ago.
If Buoy Base had more of a night setting this would be the theme (although it is already kind of night-themed since you can see the stars as you climb the fortress).

Imagine if when you beat the game instead it being the same game it's an alternate version of the game,it could be like if luigi went to the dark side of space fighting the nastier stuff as usual
