This game is based on a (very good) PS2 Hulk game called Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. A game that pre-dates prototype by 4 years. Free-roaming, robots, chargeable attacks, turning cars into boxing gloves...it is also why this game is probably one of the better movie tie-in games. A hell of a lot better than the awful 2003 Hulk game for a start.

It was a long game, there were dozens of special movies, the upgrades went on forever and there were a shit-tonne of bad guys. The graphics werent that great and the scenery was repetitive, but it was what i would consider to be a very good game.
If they would've remastered the game in hd but left the game the same as ultimate destruction with a different story line an new moves this game would've been tight but noooo they had o change everything

A great Hulk game to check out is The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction for the Xbox. It's not based off any of the movies and Prototype's gameplay was inspired by it since they're both made by the same company. It is awesome. It's also one of the few Xbox titles that can be played on the 360. Can people stop blaming Sega for developing this game. All they did was publish it. (Which was stupid on sega's part for not checking it out more) This was developed by "Edge of Reality" the same people who developed "Shark Tale" and "Over the Hedge" also "Next Level Games" developed Captain America and "Liquid Entertainment" developed Thor. The only games of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Sega did Develop were both Iron Man Games under its know defunct "Sega Studios San Francisco".
I don't think it's bad, I just think it's boring. The game is just 3 missions on a loop: Protect, Destroy, and Fetch. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. I like the graphics and the destructible environment, but this game either gives me a migraine or puts me to sleep after about an hour of playing, just because I'm getting so tired of it.
Where to buy it from is something you should decide for yourself, since we probably don't live in the same country and thus have different stores. But if you can't find it in any local store (because let's face it, the game is five years old) you might want to try auction sites like eBay...
