Beautiful.....well said Teresa. With you all the way - have always been single but like you am very different from 12yr ago. Always been reserved and quiet. After being made redundant for the second time in 2008 aged 55 and not being able to find full time employment did agency/temporary work for a few years then took early retirement at 60. Never one to be depressed/anxious [glass half full] did something completely different and out of my 'comfort zone'.....despite many hobbies/interests started doing voluntary work for a local charity, in my case hospital driving. Ten years later have never been so busy🙂 I am a lot more confident and relaxed helping others in my community not so fortunate. Indeed done something i wouldn't dreamed of a few years back....travelling solo around Europe - not in the campervan but by train with stopovers along the way, firstly to Vienna [2015] then Switzerland [2017]. Again out of my comfort zone...but a massive boost to my confidence, granted it would be different for a single female. Sorry to waffle on a bit .....but your story mirrors my own. PS. Like you i don't drive into large towns/cities anymore.....too much hassle😝 I drive so far then use trains/park & ride. Recently went to Bath/Bristol....train from Swindon then bus. PS. Still travelling around the UK in my T4 Trident.....just come back from 5 nights in Suffolk inc.15ml coastal walk. Best Wishes ...Geoff
Wow Geoff... you've achieved soooo much! It's so rewarding to help people in the community, as you say, it's a 2 way thing. Wow - your solo trip around Europe sounds so brave to me! I really do admire you. Did you do a lot of pre-planning, ie did you plan a route or just go with the wind so to speak. I'm not sure I'd ever be brave enough to do something like that - a bit more growth and confidence needed on my part! Glad you're enjoying your Trident, they really are great campers - simple, compact but still very snuggly. Your 15 mile coastal walk sounds good too... hope the weather stayed dry for you, difficult to dry your kit in a Trident! Thanks for watching the vid and taking time to tell me your story - you didn't waffle on at all... it was really interesting to read about your achievements... inspiring infact. Happy travels Geoff 🚐
Yes.. but I do wonder sometimes that I may be far too independent and enjoy my 'freedom' far too much! Am I destined to be solo forever! I think so!! 🥴🚐
Well done Theresa. I really value what being single gives me. I love travelling solo (like you, in my Trident in campervan seasons and also trips abroad, whether walking holidays or enjoying a city break). Have just returned from five nights in Malaga and appreciated every moment that travelling solo gave me. ❤
Hi Janice, thanks ever so much for watching the vid and taking time to comment. I really admire ladies like yourself and I hope to build my confidence to the level you've reached... you're so inspiring. I'm going to look at opportunities to venture abroad ... I think I'm getting to the point where I really have to "Just Do It!'... Happy travels Janice, best wishes 🚐
I feel it's all about having hobbies and interests to fill your time, and being at one with yourself and happy in your own space. Of course It would be nice to have someone in my life, to ENHANCE what I already have, but it's not a necessity. I'm enjoying life... with or without - Happy New Year 🚐

You can be in a relationship and still have your freedom. It all depends on the other person in the relationship.
Great to hear!
Thanks for watching Heather and yep, there are advantages to being solo 🚐
Happy for you, living the same way
