Second CBD of Sydney underway! Parramatta has really transformed in these past years. Within a few years it will become an international city! Can’t wait! Thanks for the update on the Powerhouse Jay!
Thank you once again for these videos. Would it be possible next time you do Parramatta to fly over the construction site for 'One City Square'? It's on the south end of Church street across from the General Bourke Hotel. It's currently a huge hole in the ground with the initial concreting at the bottom nearly finished.
I had no idea how much of the metro West infrastructure has already been completed. I'm also curious to know what the progress is of the big dig site on the corner of Church Street South and the Great Western Highway
Starting to take shape...soon second city will be born. They're taking their sweet ass time digging up the station boxes at Westmead and Parramatta though
Yeah. The Western Sydney Metro is on a slower timetable. I assume to spread expenditure out over a longer time period. Of course it could speed up, or slow down more, later on.
With Parramatta, they had an archaeological element that had to be dealt with - the Parramatta central city was one of the earliest Australian sites settled by Europeans, and there was some effort to make sure artefacts and relics of value were not missed. I thought the Westmead work was more advanced? I've been to the site and while you can't see a lot through the hoardings, I did think it was less complicated.

Great comment i agree
To think, Jessie Street Centre was the tallest building. Childhood memories picking up mum from work with dad. Love your videos!
Powerful and stylish. Beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.
Another great video. Powerhouse Museum is powering ahead. Stabling yards have chnaged dramtically since your last video. Well done Mr Big Jay
Thanks for watching and commenting
Thanks BJD. Lots of changes in Parra. I worked for 8 years in a building on the south side of the station, and I struggled to pick it out now.
Cheers
Lots of progress in Parramatta area. Now home playing base for 4 time premiers Panthers will give it more status. Thanks for update BJD.
Cheers
Thank you for showing, that looks great. Can you do an update from the Warringah Freeway please?

Ok how tall will it be
I admit, i'll miss the carpark behind the GE building. Nothing like 2 storeys of flooding as an attraction back in the day.

@BigJayDogAdventures What is the soundtrack you are using to this video?

Seeing that river with no levy right next to a building that cost 1.4 billion makes me very nervous
Yes I too looked closely at that part, apparently the closest part of the structure to the river is elevated to allow flood water to pass under
I guess that City Extra is no longer open 24/7 now that Pancakes is gone.
