I watched all the way through, and, it was thoroughly enjoyable. I am a new subscriber. I have splurged quite a lot on this new series. $60 is not a lot for what you get in return. I am currently waiting for the "Foxtrot", and "Nursery Cryme", that I have recently ordered, to be announced for a certain release date. Rock on!
Hi, watched to the end, does it bother you that for things such as Supper's Ready that they are splitting the track over two sides? I'm not a huge vinyl enthusiast but I'm seeing some people say they won't buy due to that and just wanted to get your opinion (I think same goes for Close to the Edge)
Hi. No it dont bother me at all. I still think its a good fluid movement and they did a good job with the cut. I guess if i did buy it when it came out and had it as my favourit records thru the years, knowing every second of it it might bother me but for the price of having the best sounding version of the music, its a small price to pay imo. Thanks for the question. Was fun to think about my answer for a wile!! Jonas
Well I bet the new once sounds better. That’s my experience. But if you feel that they sound amazing then I would not get them. Put that money in something else. Imo it’s all about the experience of putting that needle down and if it already feels good with the originals then you are already home 😀
The one and only Atlantic title I can think of on the top of my head right now , and that I might be willing to cough up a 100 for a premium reissue of is the "Indo-Jazz Suite" by the Joe Harriot Double Quintet with John Mayer (Atlantic 1465)... But it would have to be really, really, really good...the copy I have is absolutely wonderful, it is a pristine stereo gatefold reissue with unknown release date and everything about it is already great, nm cover, nm vinyl, the music in itself, the musicianship, the production, the recording, the mastering, the pressing...hard to beat and definitely a reference in my collection
Velvet Underground Loaded intrigues me as does INXS Kick. All the jazz are must buys for me because of Blues and Roots. My biggest struggle is how to navigate all these different reissue series. Even in the States you cant buy them all.
I don’t have that connection with INXS more than that’s also one I have seen for a dollar in all thrift stores back in the day. So not my record even back then. But it has a huge following so it will sell good. I have all the Velvets on early pressings and I think Loaded is my least favorite so I’ll pass on that. But a cool band to include now that one was released on Atlantic!
Hello, Hello. Love your videos. You showed me the way to guerssen records and other related psych stuff. I am ever so grateful. But when it comes to the atlantic analogue 75 reisuues, I have trouble to find them. I don't wanna buy from some person in the states and pay import and shipment costs that goe out of the window. Can you help in some way. Greetings from Belgium and once again: thank you for all your efforts. My name is Josse Tomsin
Totally agree the UK price is around £72 😂 I have Giant steps - jazz analog premium collection from 2018 which was pressed in Japan from 2018. Which sounds excellent. So I’ve been unsure about the AP75 which is in stereo. Your review may have swayed me.
I would start with one that you really would like to have an audiophile quality and try it out. I bet you can sell it down the road for what you got it for.
The AP 75 Giant Steps is worth it - I have a Rhino stereo and OG mono that both sound great - just not as much detail. So buy it if it is a “grail” for you. But I will say I agree Jonas - you can’t own every pressing - and sometimes the money is better put to work with new music you don’t already have. For instance, I already had an OG “Aja” that sounds great - but I bought the UHQR which also sounds better, just not enough better. I will eventually sell the UHQR.
I'm also waiting for David Crosby. It's on the way. I love that album!! ... I bought Stone Temple Pilots because it got some rave reviewsI did'nt have that one and sometimes I love to turn the volume up and enjoy some heavy rock. It sounds amazing!!! Gris Gris is a must for me!!
I don’t have that connection with STP but if I did it would be a must. Like Alice In Chains mtv record. If that came out like an equivalent of the STP, I would get it. That’s my grunge rock record that I played to death.
Maybe Coltrane Giant Steps as I don't have a stereo version, but 1. they are expensive (although I'm surprised still only about US$100 down here in NZ), and 2. double 45 rpm means a lot more flipping over sides! 🤣
I will be going to Sweden in October To do some Vinyl Digging do you have a fisical shop or just on line Looking for Vincent Gallo When Nobodys talks about hin Vinyl C
Hi. Oh man you will have a great time. Where are you going in Sweden. Stockholm has some great stores and Gothenburg is just 1,5h from me and happens to be my favorite town to dig in. I do t have a store per say. I’m restoring my garage so I’ll have a good work space and I’ll try to make it as a record store interior if people want t to go by and dig but I’m far far away from any other good thing so if I were you I would try one of the two above. Love Gallo but never see his records here in Sweden.
I have OGs because I bought them at the time. Hmmmmm a remaster or the original made at the time with the best tech at the time. Similar to an original Ming vase, chipped in places or a modern reproduction. I'll keep the original. Nothing beats the original.
I think that is a good idea for several reasons. It’s so cool, this hobby of ours. There are many reasons to collect records. I agree that as a collector I always strive for the first or early press but in this case with the sound quality this series beats the original pressings that o have compared too. But again. Different reasons for collecting. Thanks for commenting dude. I really appreciate it!

@SublimMedia Thank you! Good to have an expert's opinion 😋
I have originals of all the CSNY stuff and solo projects. They sound amazing and I’m conflicted whether I should get the reissues

KUNG!!!!!!
I can only imagine what these cost to land on my doorstep in Australia.
Oh o totally forgot that you guys have the worst. Do you know how much they charge for one in Australia?
Watched to the end. Blues & Roots is a must as my copy really sucked for sound quality and I traded it off.
The A75 sounds amazing. Great decision!
I watched this to the end.

Agree on 45. I don’t like going up to flip either. That’s why I don’t collect 7”.
But there is no shortcut to the perfect sound! 🤣
which double outer sleeves are those one´s ?
tks :)
I get them from Protected in Germany. It’s the thicker 0.15 mill. Great but demands a thick cover or else they get a little flappy
