The fact that he admits that social media is an addiction and is trying to not be controlled by it I think it’s a great inspiration. Thousands of people are guilty of it and I feel like it steals our time, questions our self love and just robs your time for entertainment.

Angie is trash. She doesn't steer anything. She asks safe questions so the guest will feel comfortable but she never pushes it or asks anything controversial. Her birdman interview is the best proof of not getting anything out of a guest. Every guest basically takes over the interview and she just becomes a commentator

I can still remember the moment that I stumbled upon J. Cole. It was 4/20/2018 the release of K.O.D. I was just chillin in my room and saw in spotify that J. Cole released a new album, and I listened to it. After like an hour, I was shocked cause it opened my eyes on how big people's problems are. As a 17 year old kid back in 2018, I was just living every single day in my comfort zone. But when I heard the song Brackets, it gave me this opportunity to like look at other people as human without judgement. Craved for more lessons and I started streaming J. Cole's songs. Stumbled upon Apparently, Change, False Prophets, etc. these helped me to grow internally as a young man. I just wish that someday I could like tell Cole how his music constantly reminds how amazing life is despite its difficulty. I'm now 20 years old and I still apply the discipline and lessons that I got from Cole's music.

I like cole man, he is aware. Perfect no. But he’s mindful of his actions and or reactions. A lot of times you must go inward to find every answer you are looking for. It’s scary at first, but liberating all in the same.

Romola B Indeed,We all have become neurotic in some way shape or form. Due to all the perverseness in society. I believe if you ever wanna be who God want you to be, you need to face a hard pain and or heartbreak. And only then will you make the intangible tangible. Love without attachment is the way to peace. #BeFree 😃 #ChristLike

Hummer Simpson When we lose everything, we’re totally left alone with ourselves and that’s a true enlightenment if you allow that journey to manifest & unfold naturally it’s an awakening. It’s very painful but if you go through it, are open to the lessons and listen to everything not just words but all that surrounds you, examine your entire being you will receive the greatest spiritual awakening and reward. Love is from within yourself - the SELF, God gives us signs we need to open our eyes. Respect & blessings to you, glad to connect with a good spirit keep up your positive mentality 👌🏽👍🏽😊

He's dead right about ego. I feel like I became a real man when I let ego go. Not completely, but choosing to have an ego about true things. Not money, celebrity, or to be better than the next man. But ego about being a good person, husband, father, friend. Nothing superficial can shake me because ego doesn't control me. The ego will have you chasing things that don't really exist but give you a false hope. Once you connect to your inner self and let it go your only moved by real things and a new improved, realistic person emerges.

I know he says we shouldn't put people on pedastols above us and that we're all equal regardless of idoltry, but what he is saying and how he expresses himself through his art and just as a human being is insanely impactful. He really is a blessing to this generation and i really do hope we'll reach the point in society where we can all realize it and fully give him the appreciation he

its incredible how this man just explained to Angie and the viewers how his words aren't meant to to be anchors but triggers. but the comments are full of praise and worship. take the message and apply it to your life. Were all capable of this thought process, look away from the screens and plug your holes with something more meaningful than another hole filled man. find something you like...and get good at it, find something within you that you dont like and change it. Were so young we begin to feel immortal. But theres like after 20, 30, and 35. You have to stop looking to others for answers.

Cole... you’ve really done it this time. I always take something from your interviews, but this one hit me so hard. Ever since I watched this interview a few hours ago I’ve been reflecting a lot on my childhood & realizing that a lot of my anxieties stem from my upbringing. My parents had me at 15 & I won’t even begin to get into their demons. But long story short it’s generational curses. They were how they were because of their childhoods & upbringings. And their childhoods & upbringings were how they were because of their parents childhoods & upbringings... so on & so forth. Hurt people, hurt people. I’ve been sitting in my car for the past couple hours just crying & writing, realizing so much. I feel like a weight is lifted. Not to say I have it all figured out, but I feel a sense of freedom. I have so much compassion for my parents & even for myself now that I’ve realized all that I’ve realized. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU! I feel like this is the start of my healing. ❤️🙏🏽
sidenote: this is my 3rd time in these comments 😂😂😂 I’ll probably keep coming back to this video for a while.

I am a few months into therapy started getting dark, depressed and suicidal ideation around December. Yesterday celebrated my 27th birthday and someone asked me “what Cole album do you want to listen to?“ I replied KOD. This album has been healing, encouraging and supportive in a way as I deal with my stuff. There are many songs of Coles that are like this but this album definitely helps when I feel vulnerable, uncomfortable, or lost in those feelings, when I want to cope in ways that are hurtful to me. So to turn on this interview and his music has been helpful. Thankful for sure for J Cole. 🙏🏽

I love this man, and he says that we shouldn’t idolize celebrities and I really try not to but he is who I aspire to be, he’s always a work in progress, recognizing that he’s human and that life takes us through many trials, different emotions, situations but at the same time learning to recognize and call out his own faults while constantly striving to improve and be his best self. Cole I’m a forever fan...

Yeah I agree, his grasp on the reality of modern day slavery is impressive. The social media machine pulling us is an interesting theory. Will be interesting to look back in 20 years and see if his mindset still stands

"It just shows you. Nothing's too small. No typa pain is too insignificant. Cause that shit sticks wit people. And bothers them."
I love this man. His presence, his soul, his consciousness, his thought process, his integrity and his delivery has a profound pureness to it. Well done, Coley. I admire you more than you will ever know.

he’s definitely read a lot of books. his self-awareness mentality is straight from the book ‘untethered soul’. this artist is everything.

It depends, he's talking about creating a outside observer in your own mind, catching your behaviour and actions is difficult but after many years I was able to do it but that outside observer doesn't have all the power, don't get obsessed with catching yourself doing things. You need a balance, humans are good at finding patterns but what about the patterns in between
