PANASONIC WJ-MX50A Minnesota

This is a short demo of what an MX50A does. I'm not an expert - but I wanted to just show how it works. Near the end of the video, my arm blocks your view of the screen that I'm demoing on, my apologies for that! You will get the idea anyhow. Thanks for watching!

This is great! I just won an MX50 on ebay and really keen to learn what it can do. Your video is so much better than the instruction manual. Mostly interested in video switching as the effects could be done post production but I am wanting to set up a live recording environment.

Ya - that is possible using some sort of composite A/V to USB unit... but one nice thing about your current method is that you get a 'backup' copy on DVD media in the process. So even though it is an extra step - you get an archive copy built into the workflow. Just looking at the bright side. :-)

Hi i am trying to figure out how to get my Macbook Air connected to this same type of mixer. What cables are used and/or adapters i'm trying to be able to she video from the mac to the switcher through to a projector.

I did get an S video cable and an A/V to USB unit. I will try connecting that to my laptop. I think I should be able to import the A/V from the board into Pinnacle 16. Continuing to recording to the DVD for the archive copy is a great idea. My laptop just died so when I get mey new one I will let you know if it works.

Please what cables or adapters are you using to connect the mac to the mixer? Please answer. I have a mac and a PC and a couple of cameras. I want to run them through the mx50 to a projector. Please help!

Hi was just wondering what type of cable I need in order to connect the mixer to a tv. The tv has a coaxial and I was trying to use a coaxial to connect to the comp out but that wasn’t fitting. Any help would be so appreciated! Thank you so much!

Great video, I am using a WJ-Mx50a for live video editing at church and currently have it going out to a DVD player. Later I convert the DVD to WMV for editing, finalizing and storage on the PC. Do you know if I can skip the DVD player and go directly into a PC or hard drive?
