It does support Android Auto. You just need to download the file from Honda on a USB stick. Easy install on the bike in less than 10mins. Have it on my new ATAS and no problem in its interface.
*please ask your Honda Partner to support you with some gimbal to get shake free videos like other reviewers, and maybe some proper mic, to be able to understand what you are saying.. thx*
That would have been 29 bucks! That puts their prices at around 5 bucks a gallon. Even with these high gas prices, we're at 2.60 a gallon. So, 29ish for them, 9 for us. FANTASTIC review though. I've watched hrs on this bike... this is one of my favorite. Actually goes through what the bike does.
Yeah, I think any bike is as long as you respect the bike, and don't floor it. If you learn this bike, don't pin the throttle everywhere there is no harm in starting off on this bike at all. I've got several friends who have passed their bike licence, purchased a large bike, ridden them responsibly and have had no problems
This is how I look at it... people often wanna get a CBR600, scared of "the power". My advice is, go as big as you can afford the first time. I put 55k on a cbr1000. Here's my reason - off the line, if the 600 rider is crazy enough... he can keep up with the 1000 off the line. It's top end where it changes.
Now, I had a rally250. That bike was so much fun and I will miss it (I got hit by a car - 8900 in repairs for a $6000 bike). The last yr, I've wanted the africa twin more than ever. Top speed on the 250 was 75... but that's sitting on a grenade. I can't wait to heal enough to get this monster
P.s i notice you was using the lowest power mode (4 blue bars) whack it in 1 blue bar in power with s1 or s2, totally different bike lol. (yes 1 bar is more "power" than 4 bars.... weird)
and??? because of the low res display the phone screen looks old on it. And need wired connection. Just use your phone itself. Much better, just forget android auto...
You are correct, one bar is max power and indicates minimal computer intrusion, full scale is moderated output for off-road and gravel. Same for engine braking, heaviest braking at one bar and less computer intrusion, full scale is less natural engine braking by intrusion into valve closure timing and fuel tuning.
Really good TFT system? :) Where? On the HAT? Man, this is bullshit I've use it for a while... and horried, far the worst part of the bike... really good. You are a funny man, but sorry after this, no way to look more from this video. :)
So.. the loading time, the plain screen, the backwards numbering for control (1 is most power, 5 is less)... I get it. We know you never get everything in 1 package. You'll like Ford internals on a Chevy frame and engine... whatever. I would much rather a "dumb" computer on a Honda bike. I can't tell you how many people I know that have went from bmw to honda and will never look back
@@RevZolution people are just impatient with the loading screen. I was wondering if it stayed on your preferred settings when you turned the bike off. I was fine with just the dct but now you make me want both
@@RevZolution First, touch screen function doesnt work ;) ua-cam.com/video/PEJ0ChLcx6o/v-deo.html Too much complicated with too much button for the use. Too much possibilities which Honde doesnt use, childish menu system. Too much limitation, cant configure on one screen what I want to see always. Android auto only with cable. Funny. In this way I use my phone which has much more better screen. I didnt say anything about the BMW system. ;)
I hear sport mode 2 is the best of both worlds 👌 great informative review 🏍🏍
Thanks for sharing your firsthand experiences!

Thanks for that feedback👍
I heard the same thing. You gotta go to honda and they will update the firmware for free
I have the 2019 AT ADV Sports DCT and highly recommend it!
I'd Like to try the previous one to see how different they are
Display is wrong way round all blue minimum and the less blue the higher the setting, no idea why, but the DCT makes up for this non intuitive display

Uk fuel prices are insane! I spend $6 to fill up my KVS's 14 liter tank....

Do you think it is good for beginners?

What is it you don't like about it? Granted it's not got anything on the BMW systems. I didn't have an issue with it.
