I remember when JJ was doing podcasts before everyone started doing it. I would listen to him on my commute. He went through like three podcast name changes. The one thing I remember out of all of them was that he said he didn’t like In N Out’s burger too much and called them overrated 😆
Kobe would frequent the Irvine In N Out after his workouts from UCI.

Coach K and Saban are legends. No one is going to question them. Reddick is the opposite. He's literally never coached. His podcast is infinitely larger then the coaches he's referring to. It's a ridiculous analogy.

JJ is insanely smart though so calling him a podcaster is goofy like he didn’t play for a decade

The problem with the Lakers isn't the head coach. JJ will be smart and wait for a better situation

Jj getting a head coaching position with zero experience on a “win now” team would be a joke

Doesn't really matter who the head coach is. Ownership is clueless. Management is suspect. LeBron is old, both him and AD were healthier than they've been in years and that got them a play in spot and a sweep. And it seems one of their off season priorities is Bronny James.
Next season would be a huge success if they replicated last seasons results honestly

Heavens I hope !!! Let’s hire a guy who had NEVER coached anything to run our bloated salary wasted future franchise 😂😂😂😂 please hire him and give James a 10 year extension

College coaching has recruiting and the presence of the coach in the public fashion aids that. NBA coaches have no recruiting responsibility and there’s no need for the same kind of public profile. Colleges want coaches that are aggressive recruiters.

JJ's smart. If smart JJ makes the decision, he passes on this gig. Pelinka's garbaged up this roster and no amount of Xs and Os savvy gets them out of the play-in.
JJ also has a pretty big ego. If big ego JJ makes the decision, he takes the job. It's an enormous challenge, and big ego guys like challenges.
Where smart JJ and big ego JJ will probably agree is that the Lakers coaching job doesn't allow for a lot of control at this point. LeBron doesn't have as much juice there as he did two years ago, but he still has more say than most star players. Ultimately I think JJ likes being his own boss too much to answer to Pelinka and LeBron, but we'll see.

Being a coach sucks compared to podcasts and media... Tough life.

Guys like JJ like and need to challenge themselfs. That`s why he will take this job..

As usual, KOC has the weirdest, most unrealistic GD take, in this case regarding JJ doing podcasts if he gets the job. Was he an only child, or was he home schooled? And god forbid they hire somebody who has actually coached, how 'boring'.
